The job as Senior Power Trader
As a Senior Power Trader in MFT Energy, you will be trading your own proprietary book and get the freedom to optimize and develop your own strategies. You will be part of an ambitious European power trading team consisting of experienced traders and analysts, ready to support you in your professional and personal development. We are looking for a team player who can collaborate and exchange ideas and insights with the team, and who thrives in a work environment where high performance and well-being goes hand in hand.

Your key responsibilities

• Trade and manage your own book
• Monitor markets in real time
• Develop, test, and refine trading strategies
• Evaluate and manage risk dynamically
• Collaborate across the desk
• Innovate our tools and workflows with your insight

Your qualifications and personal skills

Skills we believe are important to succeed:

• Previous experience from a similar role in an energy trading company

• Experience with one or several of the following trading strategies:
  • Spark Spread
  • Cross Country Spread
  • Outright Position
  • Time Spreads
• A master’s degree in finance, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a similar field.
• A natural competitive attitude and the ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• The ability to quickly learn complex datasets and methods.
• Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
