With over 30 years of experience, and over a decade of experience in mainland China, Schmidt Hammer Lassen is one of Scandinavia’s most recognized and award-winning architectural practices. Our Shanghai studio is a unique atelier that blends the DNA of two distinct design brands: SHL and Perkins&Will.
Currently the combined studio has a number of active projects in mainland China, across varied typologies from Cultural (Libraries, Museums, and Theaters), Commercial, Education and University, Science & Technology, Urban regeneration, Healthcare, and Interior.
The candidates must have a proven record of accomplishment in designing and delivering world-class projects, and experience of working in China and/or with projects in China is a major plus.
Qualifications
- 10+ years’ experience on large scale and complex projects
- Experienced user of 3D Revit Architecture/AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino and/or 3D studio Max
- Proven experience of team management and leadership a must for applicants
- Fluency in English. Spoken mandarin or other languages are a plus
- You can work independently as well as joining a cross cultural project team
- You interact with your colleagues in a positive, result oriented and creative manner

The Schmidt Hammer Lassen Shanghai studio was founded in 2011, and in 2018, Schmidt Hammer Lassen became part of global architecture and design firm Perkins&Will, further expanding the reach of the practice. Out of the office in Shanghai you will be working in the combined practice with over 100 colleagues.
