SKOV continues its successful growth strategy and is now strengthening the focus on the Japanese market. As part of this development we are looking for an ambitious, proactive and results-oriented Area Sales Manager, who is capable of profiling as well as handling SKOV's interests in Japan together with the rest of the organization in SKOV Asia, Bangkok.

We expect that you are based in convenient location for traveling and work from your home office. You will develop sales activities in the area and handle sales to mid-size and large poultry and in some cases pig producers. You should also develop the network directly to potential customers, partners and other stakeholders. Travel activities connected to customers in the area will amount to approx. 80% of your time.

You can look forward to a great range of exciting and varied tasks

  • Technical advice and sales, directly to end-customers and partly via partners.
  • To extend and strengthen relationships to selected current customers as well as to potential future customers.
  • To build up and develop our network of business partners, including also being a competent discussion partner for potential service partners.
  • Developing custom-tailored solutions that are in line with market requirements and customer expectations in close collaboration with our strategic partners as well as the SKOV Projecting Department.
  • Taking part in meetings and negotiations with decision-makers at potential customers.
  • Keeping up to date with market developments, focusing on identifying new market possibilities, including participation at exhibitions and seminars, as well as helping with creating pertinent marketing materials.

To be a success, we expect that…

  • You have a relevant commercial or technical skill, preferably experience from an equivalent job as an Area Sales Manager in Japan and/or international project solution sales, where you have established proven sales results.
  • You most likely have a background from the agricultural industry as well as a thorough technical understanding, preferably within climate solutions, and you will be able to present SKOV as a professional and reliable supplier.
  • You have an insight in market strategy.
  • You are business-oriented and highly competent in negotiating contracts.
  • You are dynamic and outgoing, and able to see potential that can be transformed into proposed solutions for the customer.
  • You take the structured approach and handle complex situations without losing focus or the general picture.
  • You are able to work independently, have a great work capacity and are good at creating contacts and long-lasting relationships across organizations and cultures.
  • You are a proficient communicator and can speak and write Japanese fluently. In addition, you speak and write English at a high level.
  • You are a competent PC user who is able to use various IT tools.

Our new Area Sales Manager will be a part of the sales team for SKOV Asia. You will be reporting to the SKOV Asia office in Bangkok.
