Your role
As a SCADA Engineer at Eurowind Energy, you will play a crucial role in the implementation, testing, and optimization of SCADA systems for our energy parks.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Implement and test energy parks in EWE's SCADA systems.
  • Ensure the collection of data from devices in energy parks within the SCADA systems.
  • Enable control of devices in energy parks through SCADA systems.
  • Support operations department in optimizing SCADA system usage.

Reporting to the SCADA Team Lead, you will collaborate with various internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure the seamless integration and operation of SCADA systems on a national and international scale.

Your key tasks will include:

  • Implement energy parks in SCADA systems nationally and internationally.
  • Develop procedures for integrating energy parks into SCADA systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data, display, or control of devices in energy parks.
  • Collaborate with external SCADA suppliers, reporting issues and testing fixes.
  • Generate improvement suggestions for monitoring and alarming.
  • Optimize work and processes related to SCADA systems.
  • Provide training and support for internal SCADA users.
  • Identify suitable SCADA systems for new facility types.

Your profile
You bring to the table a relevant educational background, ideally in the field of automation, electronics, high voltage, or related fields such as engineering, mechanical, or electrical engineering. Ideally, you possess most of the following competencies:

  • Experience in configuring, programming, and testing SCADA systems.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g., OPC UA, IEC 104, Modbus).
  • Familiarity with networks and communication infrastructure.
  • Understanding of the energy sector and renewable energy technologies (an advantage).
  • Experience with SCADA systems like ROTORsoft/PowerLimiter, Miscout, or SPRECON-V460 (an advantage).

  • System understanding: Easily comprehends various systems, their responsibilities, interfaces, and data flows.

  • Collaborative: Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams through clear communication.
