Wind Project Manager, Bulgaria

Your new team
You will be part of our Project Development department which handles the development of our renewable energy projects globally.

In the Bulgarian team we are currently three colleagues and we handle the development of solar- and wind projects across Bulgaria. We collaborate closely with our colleagues in the Headquarters in Denmark and share learnings across countries.

Your new role
As our new Wind Project Manager you will be responsible for the development of a utility scale wind project in Bulgaria.

You will lead the communication and negotiations with various external stakeholders such as municipalities, land owners, consultants, technical designers, and grid operators to ensure momentum of our projects and obtain the required permits.

You will play a crucial role in our team to drive the wind projects to the next stage and to be in the forefront of development of renewable energy in Bulgaria.

Areas of responsibility

  • You will develop wind projects in Bulgaria from early stage to construction
  • You will handle stakeholder management of external partners such as landowners, authorities, and service providers
  • You will ensure we have all the permits in place in right time
  • You will be responsible for the environmental impact assessment for our projects
  • You will handle the development process, prepare, and submit project applications and documentation to relevant authorities

To thrive in this role we imagine you have the following competencies

  • You have 3+ years of relevant experience of wind project development in Bulgaria
  • You have experience with wind development, permitting, and environmental impact assessments
  • You have strong stakeholder management skills
  • You are fully proficient in Bulgarian and English, oral and written
  • You are skilled in MS Office
  • You may have experience/interest in working with GIS and project management tools and software
  • You have a driving license

As a person you are a “do’er”, you find solutions to challenges, and you understand the risk involved and how to mitigate them. You are organized and know your priorities, taking first things first.

You have solid interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate and negotiate with various stakeholders, both internal and external. You have an agile and entrepreneurial approach to your work, and you learn from your mistakes to improve your future endeavors. You should feel good in boots, but also in a corporate suit.
