Then you might be one of our new Utility and Sustainability Consultants joining our team in NIRAS.

Our Team
The international Food & Beverage Team in NIRAS consists of a large team of almost 400 employees of which around 80 are located in Denmark in offices in Allerød, Århus, and Odense. The team's ambition is to become the best at advising on the design of sustainable food & beverage facilities, delivering CAPEX projects, and optimization of operations.

We aim to deliver high-quality projects to our customers in close cooperation with more than 3100 colleagues in NIRAS. It is an inspiring environment where few days are alike, and where our work is carried out with professionalism and in an intense team spirit.

The Position
We expect you to contribute to small and large projects worldwide helping deliver state-of-the-art solutions and project services for breweries, soft drink plants, dairies, and ingredients plants through teamwork.

The position will involve 20-50 days of traveling as a large part of our business is with clients abroad. Stationing in the other offices or abroad is also a possibility.

As a Utility and Sustainability Consultant, we expect you to contribute with:

  • Master plans, concepts, and basic engineering for greenfield and brownfield projects.
  • Develop sustainable solutions for the industry with a high focus on energy and water savings.
  • Assistance for factories to improve or reach carbon neutrality within the production.
  • Sizing of equipment within Cooling, Heating, Compressed Air, Process Gasses, Water Treatment systems, etc.
  • CAPEX estimations.
  • Generate efficient utility plant layout solutions.
  • Preparing or reviewing descriptions and diagrams.
  • Preparations of tender documents and evaluations of tenders for new equipment/plants.
  • Engagement in sales and network activities.

We are looking for applicants who

  • have a degree in mechanical engineering and have preferably +2 years’ experience in the Food & Beverage industry or Consulting company.
  • possess technical knowledge and skills within utility plants and sustainability.
  • have analytical skills as well as some operational experience.
  • thrive working both on individual projects but also as part of a large project team where a high degree of interaction and communication is required.
  • can manage your time and deliver on time.
  • can give presentations to larger groups of stakeholders.
  • possess good written and oral English skills – preferably combined with one other major language.
  • are preferably familiar with MS Project and as well as AutoCAD/Revit.
