In the role of Logistics Developer, you will develop industrial processes together with our logistics departments and assembly departments. You will have the opportunity to work with our internal logistics in the factory as well as to be part of larger projects with collaboration between our robot production and our external suppliers. There are complex logistics from external suppliers to our internal flows and how to improve our processes so that we optimally get our robot manufacturing flowing. In our robot factory, there is no processing, but we buy ready-made items for our assembly, the development of internal logistics is a very important part of our production process. Your work will initially focus on existing factories. Within about 2 years, we will move the entire business to our new Robotics Campus of 65,000 m2 with a fully automated warehouse. It will give you and your colleagues a fantastic challenge in developing a flow with an automated high-bay warehouse that delivers through AGV/AMR to robots and operators who perform assembly in a completely new environment that we ourselves are starting to create here and now.

Your responsibilities

  • Responsible for setting standardized working methods for the operators and production that meets relevant standards and requirements.
  • Be responsible for setting the investment plan for production equipment within your departments that you work with.
  • The work can be, for example, implementing and driving value stream mapping, process improvements or continuous improvements, as well as savings initiatives.
  • Manage and maintain the technical road map in your logistics area.
  • Act as a mentor and coach your colleagues and contribute to the development of the department. You will also support globally with your expertise to secure the interests of ABB Robotics Europe.
  • In the long run, you will be one of those who are involved in creating the optimal flow at our new ABB Robotics Campus. This is where we gather all our robotics expertise within ABB Europe and your contribution will be logistics development.

Your background

  • Have worked at least 5 years with logistics flows.
  • Have a completed engineering education, preferably in logistics and process development. Alternatively, equivalent work experience.
  • Good knowledge of ERP systems.
  • If you have worked in an assembly business, it is highly meritorious.
  • You should be a senior person who can lead others, take responsibility for sub-projects and share your knowledge with others.
  • Ability to cooperate, an overall approach and your own drive are your most important personal qualities.
