For the past three years, we have been engaged in an ambitious digital transformation journey, continuing our customer centricity, and pivoting to a product driven enterprise with optimized IT services which are easy to access and use. To help us on this journey and equip our organization to make secure choices, we are now searching for an ambitious and experienced IT Security consultant.

As an IT Security consultant at Blue Water Shipping, you will be part of the Security organisation, reporting to the Head of IT Security, and will be primarily responsible for providing sparring and technical security consultancy to the Blue Water Shipping IT organization.

The job
As an IT Security Consultant, you will focus on supporting the IT security maturity development of the organization, providing consultancy, training, and guidance to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assume ownership of the Blue Water Shipping vulnerability management process, ensuring operational teams address vulnerabilities in a structured manner
• Provide mentorship and guidance to non-security personnel as part of the BWS CSIRT
• Facilitate response to security incident escalations from the BWS SOC
• Execute social engineering tests of Blue Water Shipping
• Carrying out risk assessments for IT services and platforms
• Supporting IT audit activities

Your background
We value your skills and personality more than your educational background, and envision the ideal candidate being:

• familiar with agile ways of working
• comfortable navigating the InfoSec world, staying up to date on trends, emerging threats, and technologies
• experienced consuming, translating, and acting upon threat intelligence
• experienced working with EDR and XDR solutions such as Microsoft Defender
• experienced with Microsoft Sentinel
• comfortable with risk management techniques
• familiar with red team techniques and able to conduct basic ethical hacking
• experienced working in a multinational context
• preferably experienced working within a security framework such as ISO27002, NIST CSF, etc.
• proactive and self-driven with acute awareness of deadlines
• able to articulate security requirements to non-technical individuals
• proficient in English and preferably Danish

If not a European citizen, you must hold a valid EU residence and working permit.

Practicalities
Blue Water Shipping is headquartered in Esbjerg with major offices in Greve, Odense, Taulov and Aarhus. IT business development teams are in Esbjerg, Taulov, Aarhus, Warsaw and Gdansk. Business Unit leadership is equally distributed across Denmark and the rest of the world. Location of the role depends on the candidate, but will be either in Denmark or Gdansk.
