For the past three years, we have been engaged in an ambitious digital transformation journey, continuing our customer centricity, and pivoting to a product driven enterprise with optimized IT services which are easy to access and use. To help us on this journey and equip our organization to ensure security is embedded in the design phase, we are now searching for an ambitious and experienced IT Security architect.

As an IT Security architect at Blue Water Shipping, you will be part of the Security organisation, reporting to the Head of IT Security, and will be primarily responsible for providing guidance, sparring and security architecture consultancy to the Blue Water Shipping IT organization.

The job
As an IT Security Architect, you will focus on translating security requirements into IT architecture, providing consultancy and guidance to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include:

• Engaging with IT and other organizational units to provide best practices guidance on security components of platform and process design
• Educating and empowering solution architects to include security as a design requirement in new and existing solutions
• Ensuring security reviews and/or approvals are integrated as part of the IT delivery model
• Reviewing, updating and recommending changes to Security policies, standards, and procedures to mature the IT Security program
• Providing a risk-balanced approach to architectural design

Your background

We value your skills and personality more than your educational background, and envision the ideal candidate being:

• experienced working with and securing hybrid IT environments
• familiar with agile ways of working
• comfortable navigating the InfoSec world, staying up to date on trends, emerging threats, and technologies
• comfortable with risk management techniques
• experienced working in a multinational context
• preferably experienced working within a security framework such as ISO27002, NIST CSF, etc.
• proactive and self-driven with acute awareness of deadlines
• able to articulate security requirements to non-technical individuals
• proficient in English and preferably Danish

If not a European citizen, you must hold a valid EU residence and working permit.

Practicalities
Blue Water Shipping is headquartered in Esbjerg with major offices in Greve, Odense, Taulov and Aarhus. IT business development teams are in Esbjerg, Taulov, Aarhus, Warsaw and Gdansk. Business Unit leadership is equally distributed across Denmark and the rest of the world. Location of the role depends on the candidate, but will be either in Denmark or Gdansk.
