Communicaꢀons Lead to assist in promoꢀng programmes using EIT Health channels. o o Collaboraꢀon Lead, and Pillar Leads for day-to-day co-ordinaꢀon and knowledge-sharing. CLC MD, Collaboraꢀon Lead and Public Affairs & Stakeholder Relaꢀons Lead (PASRL) for widening the network and seek new opportuniꢀes including business acꢀꢁiꢀes. o Open Innoꢁaꢀon Project Officer to deꢁelop and implement Open Innoꢁaꢀon as a Serꢁice (OIaS) projects. • At CO Works with o o o Chief Partnership Management Officer to align at Central Office leꢁel. Markeꢀng to driꢁe local promoꢀon of programmes. Programme Managers across Pillars to feedback insights from local audiences, and to beꢂer understand the programmes. o Professional Educaꢀon Lead to feed insights and connecꢀons to driꢁe applicaꢀons for programmes from learners including Health Care Proꢁiders and Industry professionals. • Other CLCs All entrepreneurship leads from all oꢁer Europe to align in campaigns, acꢀꢁiꢀes and best pracꢀces. o EIT Health Spain Barcelona Science Park Baldiri I Reixac 4-8 T: +34 934 020 800 E: [email protected] W: http//eithealth.eu 08028 | Barcelona ROLE OVERVIEW: The Entrepreneurship Lead (EL) will engage with the region’s potential trainees/students, entrepreneurs, and start-ups to build awareness and attract applications for EIT Health opportunities. Specifically, the post holder will oversee all marketing activity in the region directed at these audiences working collaboratively with other CLCs and Marketing at Central Office. Moreover, the EL will manage Spanish start-ups’ accounts that are already part of EIT Health’s portfolio. The EL will get to know its audience in the region, understand their needs and feedback insights to the relevant colleagues. They will represent the CLC in external eco-system events and run all local aspects of programmes for these audiences (e.g. Infodays, local selection events, Bootcamps etc). They will also be responsible for running collaborative activities focused on entrepreneurship with local Network Partners. Another important component of the position holder will be to attract, consolidate and overview new opportunities for Open Innovation as a service (OIaS). Besides OIaS, the EL will work with the PASRL to source additional funding and secure the sustainability of the organization in the future. OBJECTIVES OF THE ROLE: • • Build connecꢀons and a central role in the region’s start-up and entrepreneur eco- system as an EIT Health representaꢀꢁe. Successfully promote and market EIT Health opportuniꢀes to students, trainees, entrepreneurs and start-ups in the region and organize local informaꢀon/selecꢀon eꢁents. • • • Feedback insights and knowledge from engagement in the region to the ꢁarious Leads to inform future calls and EIT Health programmes. Follow-up on potenꢀal applicants to guide the candidate to select the suitable programme. Foster and support the deꢁelopment of strong applicaꢀons from students, trainees, entrepreneurs and start-ups from the region for EIT Health programmes and acꢀꢁiꢀes. • Proacꢀꢁely liaise with other staff and EIT Health stakeholders ensuring the adequate regional and organisaꢀon alignment among EIT Health acꢀꢁiꢀes to support the integraꢀon of the knowledge triangle across the region and beyond. Be spokesperson at eꢁents targeꢀng the selected community, to raise awareness about EIT Health and its programmes. • • Proꢁide CLC perspecꢀꢁe into all Business Creaꢀon programmes/criteria and decisions by engaging with your key counterparts and colleagues. Coordinate the DeepTech Venture Programme (and similar future programmes) at CLC leꢁel, with the required alignment with other CLCs and Central Office. Manage Network Partners’ accounts focused on entrepreneurship area. DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES OF THE ROLE: • Engage target audience to market and promote releꢁant EIT Health programmes and aꢂract suitable parꢀcipants from local eco-system. • • • Secure efficient exposure of EIT Health programs in the region Support CLC MD, Collaboraꢀon Lead and PASRL as required. Interact with regional stakeholders and driꢁe idenꢀꢃcaꢀon of new potenꢀal business opportuniꢀes. • • • Proꢁide guidance and assistance to entrepreneurs in the applicaꢀon process for releꢁant EIT Health programs and assist Collaboraꢀon Lead in proꢁiding guidance and assistance to partners in the applicaꢀon process for Educaꢀon and Innoꢁaꢀon programs. Together with markeꢀng, map, maintain and update a knowledge reference and local markeꢀng assets for trainees, entrepreneurs, start-ups and other releꢁant stakeholders to aꢂract future interest in EIT Health programs at the regional ecosystem. Coordinate the DeepTech Venture Builder Programme (and similar future programmes) at CLC leꢁel, with the required alignment with other CLCs and Central Office. • • Business deꢁelopment of OIaS and coordinaꢀon of current related projects with the support of the OIaS Project Officer. Coordinaꢀon of Business Creaꢀon iniꢀaꢀꢁes at CLC leꢁel (e.g. DTVB and Open Innoꢁaꢀon Pilot). SKILLS REQUIRED: EDUCATION: • • Releꢁant academic degree or higher in a releꢁant health, engineering or science discipline, Master in Business Administraꢀon or similar degree is appreciated. EXPERIENCE: • • At least 5 years experience in health or science innoꢁaꢀon and/or entrepreneurship. Experience in both the priꢁate and public sector considered an adꢁantage. An extensiꢁe contact network in the regional Health Innoꢁaꢀon and Entrepreneurship system. Exisꢀng working relaꢀonships with releꢁant stakeholders and other releꢁant regional agencies. • Ideally haꢁe experience with EIC and other public programs project applicaꢀon, management and reporꢀng processes. Preꢁious experience in markeꢀng or sales would be an adꢁantage. SPECIFIC SKILLS • Knowledge of regional innoꢁaꢀon systems, notably science-based innoꢁaꢀon, higher educaꢀon, technology transfer, releꢁant naꢀonal research, inꢁestors and naꢀonal funding organisaꢀons. • Proꢁen ability to engage entrepreneurs, and senior stakeholders, build effecꢀꢁe working relaꢀonship and connect indiꢁiduals from ꢁarious internaꢀonal organisaꢀons. • • • Strong experience in working with start-ups, scaleups and investors. Strong business deꢁelopment, project management, and networking skills. Ability to work in complex and innoꢁaꢀꢁe enꢁironments, cross culturally in an internaꢀonal and/or public-priꢁate collaboraꢀon. • • Ability to manage a set of deliꢁerables, idenꢀfy opportuniꢀes for improꢁement and growth, and seꢄng and managing standards of deliꢁery to support the cost-effecꢀꢁe and targeted deliꢁery of the CLC acꢀꢁiꢀes. An extensiꢁe contact network in the local and European innoꢁaꢀon system in the health sector, parꢀcularly in the start-up and entrepreneurship scene. Exisꢀng working relaꢀonships with regional programs considered an adꢁantage. Ability to engage in social media and community plaꢅorms. • • • Good communicaꢀon and wriꢀng skills in English and in the local language.
