Senior Transmission Asset Specialist

Ørsted

Join us in this role where you’ll be working with activities ranging from technical support to lifecycle transition projects with the goal of maintaining and improving our Global O&M Transmission Asset setup. Your role will involve developing, implementing, and maintaining technical solutions to support the business continuity setup that ensures the continuity of operations in the face of various disruptions and emergencies.

Welcome to Asset Planning & Business Continuity
You’ll be part of the Business Continuity team where you, together with your colleagues, will be focusing on technical aspects related to global transmission assets, offshore and onshore substations, exportable cables and other critical infrastructure within renewable energy facilities. As a team, we work together to capture the knowledge into technical processes to implement mitigation and response activities. You’ll be working closely with the team, but also independently.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • building up technical Business Continuity plans globally
  • developing and implementing emergency response plans for transmission system failures or outages
  • conducting regular drills and training sessions to ensure preparedness for emergency situations and compliance with emergency response protocols
  • contributing to the analyses of the business resilience
  • facilitating lessons learned sessions and following up after business continuity events.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • hold a relevant degree in electrical engineering, are an MV-HV technician, or have similar skills gained from extensive experience working with onshore or offshore substations
  • have some experience with the operation of high and medium voltage networks and substations as well as an understanding of other subsystems, such as LV, mechanical, utility, communications, and SCADA
  • have experience with transmission asset control systems and maintenance management, incl. project management within the offshore WTG industry
  • are a good team player, thrive in an international environment, and can create lasting relationships with your global stakeholders
  • have strong communication skills and speak and write English fluently
  • have experience in planning and facilitating workshops.

Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
