About Agreena

Agreena is an exciting, dynamic, and purpose-oriented organisation united in a mission to mobilise farmers and corporations to unlock the value of nature and help restore the planet. While we’re rooted in agriculture, finance, and technology, our team of experts range from soil carbon scientists and software developers to market strategists and regulatory affairs experts. Over 230 employees across more than 40 nationalities are gathered under the common Agreena flag – either working from our headquarters in Copenhagen, offices in London, or remotely across Europe.

As a rapidly scaling climate agtech, Agreena provides solutions that drive both environmental and financial sustainability in farming. We have helped farmers across 18 countries in their conversion journey from conventional agriculture to regenerative farming practices to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and remove CO2 from the atmosphere, storing it in soil. Our company offers a supportive and positive work environment with opportunities for learning, leading and growth no matter where you are in your professional journey. We believe in giving our employees a lot of responsibility, and we encourage new thinking, innovation and fun.

And this is where you come in:

By joining our growing sales team as a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for selling the full suite of Agreena’s Supply Chain Solutions. We are looking for talented sales individuals to drive our new relationships with the market. You will be responsible for individually building customer relationships and ultimately drive revenue. You will be engaging with a broad range of clients, including but not limited to, Food & Beverage companies, Banks, NGOs, Water Companies, Governments and Sustainability Consultancies. You will engage with clients as they prioritise where and how to reduce supply chain emissions, and ultimately achieve their sustainability goals.

You will take ownership of your territory and accountabilities, and through a consultative led sales approach, you will manage a sales process that allows you to achieve revenue and sales KPIs. To ensure success, the appointed candidate must be highly motivated, commercially astute and passionate about the sustainability space. You will be comfortable with navigating ambiguity and be agile with the demands that naturally arise from rapid growth.

Ideally you will be comfortable making the journey to London at least 2 days per week to spend time in one of our main offices. However, please enquire as more remote working options can be accommodated. There will also be regular travel to other offices, alongside other trips for Sales Events and Road Shows.

Your responsibilities:

    • Achieving quarterly and annual sales targets for Supply Chain Solutions
    • Building rapport with target firms and building relationships with senior managers in corporate positions
    • Identifying opportunities based on a consultative led approach to understanding clients challenges
    • Managing the end-to-end sales process from name development, prospecting, in person meetings, product demo, proposal writing and contracting
    • Developing a robust sales pipeline and accurately forecast bookings based on detailed planning and execution
    • Drafting high-quality proposals aligned with customer requirements.
    • Attending industry events and trade shows to network with potential new clients.
    • Identifying market needs in new segments and presenting them to the management team for investment in new products
    • Employ a team selling, consultative approach to accelerate the sales process.

Requirements to succeed in the role:

    • Undergraduate degree
    • 3-5 years sales experience in a business development role using solution selling or conceptual selling techniques with experience in MRV, Supply Chain Solutions, Software (SaaS) or Consulting
    • High activity levels and an independent, proactive approach to meet both sales activity targets and sales bookings targets.
    • Personal characteristics of tenacity, drive, commercial awareness, persuasiveness, and ability to close deals.
    • Excellent presentation, communication and writing skills.
    • Comfort working in a fast growing and entrepreneurial environment

What's in it for you:

    • A unique opportunity to join and help shape a fast-growing tech scale up with the determination and ambitious mission to reverse climate change;
    • A truly global environment where you can collaborate and socialise with diverse and passionate colleagues;
    • Competitive compensation package and holidays
    • Centrally located modern office in London (Farringdon). There is also a Remote Work Policy for those based further afield;
    • Team events throughout the year;
    • An exciting purpose-led culture and mission;
    • Open communication and supportive feedback culture.
