The department is responsible for organizing and implementing the procurement scope of Technology, New Product Introduction and Technology Transfer projects within Vestas.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage Technology and New Product Introduction projects within Global Procurement in close cooperation with R&D (Vestas Power Solutions), Manufacturing and other key functions
  • Take full ownership of ensuring all deliverables from Global Procurement in your projects according to the Vestas stage-gate model
  • Bring Global Procurement strategies into action when carrying out the projects
  • Deliver on agreed project scope and targets, ensuring the balance between quality, time, cost, resources and risks
  • Ensure supply chain readiness throughout the development projects until global production ramp-up
  • Project budget responsible for Global Procurement in all the projects

Qualifications
The ideal candidate has more than 5 years of proven experience within project management, e.g. in production companies with a global supply chain. Furthermore, we expect that you:

  • Have a relevant BSc or MSc in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Management or equivalent
  • Hold a project management certification such as Prince2 Practitioner or equivalent or relevant experience
  • Have experience with New Product Introduction and with Procurement
  • Have led project teams with team members joining in from around the world
  • Have experience working in a matrix organization
  • Have professional communication and presentation skills
