Tower Module is a department part of Vestas responsible for the research, design, and development of the wind turbines' tower products. Through innovation, development, and continuous product improvements, we continuously develop our products and technologies to reduce costs and ensure the integration of renewable energy. Your tasks will involve dynamic analyses, requirement management, design risk assessment, and the creation of certification documentation for the towers. Your team consists of highly skilled engineers from diverse cultural backgrounds who works together to deliver towers to our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct and review dynamic analyses on towers under varying loading conditions
  • Train and development team members within the area
  • Coordinate tower dynamics activities: Efficiently supervise and coordinate all activities related to the dynamics functional area within the department
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, standards, and codes governing structural design and dynamics within the renewable energy sector

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Engineering with a minimum 3 years working in the area of structural dynamics on large structures
  • Intermediate level of knowledge with standards: Familiarity with industry standards and codes related to structural design and dynamics in the context of wind energy
  • Minimum 3 years experience in vibration analyses of thin structures
  • Minimum 3 years experience in designing and analyzing damping solutions for large structures
  • Intermediate level of programming in Python and ANSYS APDL

  • Collaborative mindset to work closely with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to set strategic goals and priorities and ensuring the effective execution of projects
  • High analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and maintain solutions to engineering challenges Proficiency in addressing issues related to calculation methodologies, software tools, and damper solutions
  • Implement appropriate quality assurance measures to uphold the highest standards in structural design practices and ensure reliability
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, innovate in methodologies, and optimize structural dynamics solutions
