Renewables Engineering in Haugesund is looking to strengthen the team with new Senior/Principal Automation Engineers. You will be part of automation engineering in large projects and hold the position as discipline engineer or discipline lead. As an engineer in Aibel you will work in a multidiscipline environment, participating in studies, bids and FEED and/or detail engineering projects. About the position
As part of Aibel’s team, you will define and specify Automation and SAS system design for Safety Instrumented Systems, Process Control Systems and Power Distribution Control systems. As the Package Responsible Engineer (PRE), you will be entrusted with the task of overseeing supplier deliveries and actively participating in Inspection Acceptance Testing (IAT) and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) activities.

Responsibilities and tasks include

  • Development of automation philosophies & solutions to the required level
  • Development of automation SAS programming basis (i.e., SCD, C&E, I/O list, alarm classification, FPDS) to the required level
  • Participation in multidiscipline design and review activities
  • Participate and arrange meetings, workshops and reviews for automation discipline as required
  • Interface to other disciplines, contractors and Clients

Qualifications

  • Master's or bachelor's degree within automation or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years' experience with industrial automation control system design
  • Experience with O&G projects on the Norwegian continental shelf or in the Offshore Wind sector is advantageous
  • Proficient in written and spoken English, Norwegian skills is an advantage
