The position
As our new Manager, you will lead by example and set the direction for the Manufacturing IT & OT team. You will be part of the department management group who is responsible for providing a high-level service to our customers.

The main tasks will be to:

  • Support your employees in their daily efforts to solve tasks and challenges.
  • Ensure that the department is able to deliver high quality products in a compliant and timely manner.
  • Set up KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and follow up accordingly to make sure that behaviour and results are correctly measured.
  • Create a work environment that creates job enthusiasm and matches the requests and capabilities of your team.

You will support your employees in their daily efforts to solve tasks and challenges. You set an example and point the way, and you take pride in securing a high level of quality in your deliverables.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you:

  • Preferably, hold an Engineering degree in Automation, IT, Production Technology, or other relevant managerial education
  • Have some leadership experience, ideally within Operational Technology (PLC’s, Vision application etc), Automation and IT
  • Are fluent in English, both written and verbal.

Knowledge of implementing and maintaining various OT and IT technologies, such as MES-systems, PLC-automation, robot applications and production IT-systems will be considered as an advantage.

We work in a dynamic and challenging environment with short deadlines, so you must be able to prioritise and take responsibility for quality and regulatory requirements – also when the solution is not obvious. You thrive in the decision-making role where decisiveness, self-consciousness and conflict management are key words, and you know how to win acceptance through direct and clear communication.

Your work approach is analytical and structured, and you always have an eye for details. Personally, you have a high drive and sense of initiative combined with empathy and the ability to support and engage your team. The ability to give feedback, coach and develop employees is also a focus point for the position.

About the Department
The Manufacturing IT & OT team consists of 16 highly committed and skilled employees who are responsible for Manufacturing IT and OT across the organisation, incl. implementing, optimising and conduction life cycle management of various automation equipment and IT-systems. The team is part of Needle Manufacturing & Sourcing which is overall responsible for the global end-to-end supply chain of Novo Nordisk's pen needles including both internal and external production, quality assurance, and manufacturing development. We are organised in eight departments and with approx. 500 employees dedicated to ensuring the pen needle supply to Novo Nordisk.
