The Global Repair department at Vestas Wind Systems plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective repair of wind turbine component sustainable energy solutions, this department focuses on maintaining the reliability and performance of wind turbines through timely and accurate repairs. The team offers an opportunity to contribute to the renewable energy sector and work on exciting projects that support the sustainability goals of Vestas.
We are seeking a Minor Components Repair Engineer to join our team at Vestas, a global leader in sustainable energy solutions. This is a professional with an enthusiasm for mechanical or hydraulic components and a willingness to excel in a complex and innovative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and prioritize safety protocols
  • Develop repair solutions, gather and create documentation for repairs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement effective maintenance strategies, minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and wind turbine regulations i.e CE markings etc
  • Provide technical support and promote continuous learning within the group and our Repair partners

Qualifications

  • Relevant education on the field of mechanical or hydraulic components
  • Several years of experience in the wind industry in the mechanical or hydraulic field
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Vestas turbines and associated components
  • Fluent English written and verbal competencies

  • Problem-solving skills specific to wind energy systems
  • Great technical aptitude in mechanical or hydraulic systems of wind turbines
  • Great attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Adaptability and organizational skills

  • Ability to work effectively, coordinate multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
