The position
In this role you will be the technical lead for the Fintech-SmartPay team, consisting of currently 4 engineers across the stack. You will be working along with the team members, collaborating with the Team Manager, Product Manager and UX on how to bring the team and the product to the next level.

We are looking for someone with:

• Previous experience in an Engineering Leadership role either as Technical Lead, Lead Engineer or Principal Engineer
• Proficiency in .NET Framework/.NET Core, C#, SQL, React / TypeScript
• Demonstrated experience in designing architectural solutions or components of a system
• Demonstrated overseeing, guiding, and coordinating technical projects and cross-teams strategic initiatives
• Skilled at driving initiatives forward and getting things done, while fostering collaborative teamwork and maintaining a positive, healthy work culture
• Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies, with a deep understanding and embodiment of its principles and mindset
• Ability to navigate work networks and drive to look at things holistically.

Horizontally you need to collaborate with other Technical Leads, Team Managers or engineering roles on planning dependencies and work on cross-team initiatives. You will be reporting to the Team Manager of the product team.

It is not expected of you to do people management, but you will collaborate closely with your Team Manager to establish a technical pathway supporting individual growth, while also fostering an environment that empowers and facilitates the development of a high-performing team.

In this role, you will

• Be hands-on with coding and participate as an individual contributor on a project, which may also mean picking up slack to fill in gaps to round out a project.
• Be accountable for the technical aspects within your team, including ownership of components and services, and surfacing issues or challenges related to neighbouring services or components that the team depends on.
• Set the technical direction and be involved in strategic decisions which have an impact on your own team, advice process, and contribute to technical documentation (technical design documents, ADRs).
• Promote and drive adoption of technical solutions by effectively communicating with various stakeholders, and engaging in different knowledge sharing and forums across the organisation.
• Work closely with the Team Lead, Product Manager and Product Designer to provide engineering perspective on feasibility and viability of new features.
• Mentor, guide and coach the developers in their careers, and be a force multiplier for the team.

The Team
The Fintech team is a fully empowered production team, driving e-conomic's mission towards Embedding Financial Services and reducing the time our customer's spend in traditional banking solutions. We work together with startups in the Danish fintech market to enable and automate parts of our customers' workflows. Two flagship products the team is currently working on are the Bank-Integration together with our partner Aiia, and Smart Pay together with our partner November First.

You will be joining our development organisation Products (R&D) with +180 employees, primarily located in Denmark, Romania and Portugal. We are a diverse group of +20 nationalities, including Developers, Product Managers, QA Engineers and UX Designers. We build and design the cloud based accounting system e-conomic.dk that helps more than 190,000 happy companies run their businesses. We serve more than 50 millions requests daily and are providing our brilliant developer teams with the integrations and tooling that allows for several production deployments every day.
