Your role
We are looking for a Pipeline Engineer to join TotalEnergies team and provide technical support to the Danish operations in accordance with approved procedures, guidelines, design limitations, technical standards, and legislative requirements. With reference to the Subsea Structures & Pipeline Lead you will be a part of a team of 5 engineers based in Esbjerg, Denmark.

As a Pipeline Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Prepare and follow the cleaning pigs runs (corrosion management).
  • Organising dedicated cleaning pigs’ operation when requested.
  • Planning and executing the intelligent pigging operations in cooperation with the operations team.
  • Quality checking the raw data and contributing to the data interpretation with Corrosion teams.
  • Update the Risk Based Inspection Planning software with corrosion and structural figures.
  • Work with the corrosion service for the Fitness for Service and Corrosion assessments follow-up.
  • Preparing Annual Evaluation and Recommendation Report for all operated pipelines.
  • Participating in Task Risk Assessments as required.
  • Work closely with the subsea pipeline engineer in charge of the ROV campaigns.

Your background and competences
It is important that you possess a safety mindset and address the job with a strong understanding of the business and people. Naturally, you thrive in a highly autonomous and visible position in a dynamic working environment. This position calls for a clear ability to work with methods and manage changes. Also, excellent interpersonal and communicative skills are essential in combining a holistic business view with concrete technical initiatives. We are looking for a strong team player with the ability to build relationships and work constructively with others to achieve business goals.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An engineering degree related to either corrosion, oil, gas, chemical industry - or related fields.
  • Good people and planning skills
  • Risk Based Inspection and UNISOL/SAP (CIMS) knowledge will be an advantage.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Knowledge or interest in pipeline design, operation, maintenance, and inspection.
  • Pipeline integrity software and tools proficiency – or ability to learn.
  • An outgoing personality who can understand and work with the dynamics of offshore oil and gas operations.
