The role
As Financial Controller, you are part of the Financial Control & Reporting team, overseeing the finalization and reporting of month-end figures for Viaplay Group’s entities. By proactively analyzing financial information, you ensure high-quality and compliant financial reporting through proposed improvements based on prior reporting periods, changes within the business, or to stay current with the regulatory environment.

Additionally, you actively contribute to the adherence to- and maintenance of the internal controls over the financial reporting, while also driving and engaging in various finance- and accounting-oriented initiatives.

As the main point of contact for various stakeholders within the finance function, your proactivity and stakeholder management are integral to your personal success and the broader achievements of the team and organization.

What we’re looking for
We understand you may feel confident ticking certain boxes more than others and that’s why we always keep an open mind in our recruitment process. But, to thrive in this role, we do believe you’ll need to possess at least some of the following:

• Hold a bachelor’s degree within Finance, Accounting or similar.

• Have +3 years relevant work experience within financial control, auditing, accounting or similar.

• Good understanding of regulatory requirements, GAAP and internal control.

• Strong analytical and communication skills.

• Service minded and a problem-solving attitude.

It’s a bonus if you have

• Experience of working with Power BI, Power Query, VBA , RPA or similar.
