Head of AI & Data COE

At the forefront of a technological revolution, GlobalConnect is seeking a visionary leader to lead the establishment of its new Artificial Intelligence & Data - Center of Excellence (AI & Data COE). This role is pivotal in steering both AI and data strategies, ensuring that GlobalConnect remains a leader in technological advancements and data-driven decision-making.

As the Head of AI & Data COE, you will take the helm of both our AI and data initiatives, shaping strategic direction and overseeing operational execution. Your leadership will cultivate an environment of innovation and excellence, propelling the development and deployment of cutting-edge AI and data solutions that enhance our business processes and customer engagement. You will report to the Group CIO and be part of the Group CIO Management team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and execute the strategy for the AI & Data COE, aligning it with the company’s broader business goals.
• Build and lead a team of AI and data professionals, promoting a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Collaborate with different business units to identify and prioritize projects, ensuring they provide value and maintain a competitive edge.
• Ensure the creation and maintenance of a robust technical framework for our data architecture and govern its direction to foster integration, security, and scalability.
• Oversee the implementation of AI and data technologies, ensuring adherence to best practices in data governance, ethical AI usage, and compliance.
• Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with external technology providers, research institutions, and industry consortia to capture emerging trends in AI and data.
• Act as an AI and data advocate across the organization, enhancing awareness of their potential and driving a data-centric culture.
  

Requirements:

• Exceptional business acumen and a strong academic background in Computer Science, Engineering, AI, Machine Learning, or a related field.
• Proven leadership experience in AI/ML and data-driven projects and teams, with a preference for those who have initiated or led similar centers of excellence.
• Comprehensive understanding of AI and data technologies and applications, with a demonstrated track record of deploying solutions that generate significant business value.
• Outstanding strategic thinking abilities, capable of leading in a dynamic and rapidly evolving technological landscape.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, adept at engaging with stakeholders at all levels within the organization.
• Experienced in change management, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and cross-departmental collaboration.
• Located in Copenhagen, Stockholm or Oslo.
