Welcome to Femern A/S
Femern A/S is the company responsible for the planning, construction and operation of the Fehmarnbelt tunnel. Work on the tunnel is ongoing and the 18 km tunnel between Puttgarden in Germany and Rødbyhavn in Denmark is expected to be completed in 2029.

Support the organisation in contract related issues
You join very dedicated employees with Danish, German and international backgrounds and great experience from mega projects around the world.

Together with them – and alongside the Tunnel Contract Administration team of 6 lawyers and engineers – you ensure our commercial and contract administration across the full contract lifecycle, focusing on managing the Immersed Tunnel and Portal & Ramps contracts.

Your key tasks will include:

• Support to the Contract Administration Managers in day-to-day management of variation orders and claims
• Execute daily contract administration activities

Learn, grow and develop
As our new Commercial Engineer colleague, you will acquire a close insight into the project and contract management during the entire contract lifecycle. You will experience an organisation that is dynamically altering in accordance with the project progress, with a challenging, but at the same time diverse and enriching working day.

You will be based in our Copenhagen office, working in Rødbyhavn occasionally.

Your remuneration package will be according to your qualifications and you will be offered health insurance and other staff benefits.

Civil engineer with construction contract experience

• You have a degree in Civil Engineering, Industrial or Business Engineering or similar
• You have at least 3-5 years’ experience from commercial & contract administration on similar complex large-scale projects
• You have a good grasp of British/International construction contract terms and working knowledge of standard forms of contract and international Construction Law (such as FIDIC or bespoke)
• You have a good command of English and are able to communicate to a high standard, both in writing and orally, as the contract communication is in English. Danish language skills are not essential; however, the development of an ability in Danish is encouraged.
