Product Owner, Rates E-trade

Danske Bank

Product Owner for Rates Etrade in Markets Front Office Tribe
Work location in our new domicile in Copenhagen, Denmark

Do you want to contribute to creating state-of-the-art digital solutions within Fixed Income? Are you motivated by setting the direction and guiding others to achieve goals? Bring your can-do attitude and transformational mind-set to the Markets Front Office Tribe and join our great team as Product Owner in Danske Bank, Large Corporates & Institutions (LC&I).

The Markets Front Office Tribe plays an important role in Danske Bank, providing our large corporate and institutional customers with front office applications and data to support their digitalisation journey of financial markets transactions. You will work together with dedicated colleagues in a global team characterised by an inclusive, caring, and ambitious culture.

About the role
As Product Owner for Rates Etrade, you will be responsible for extending our functionality in the Etrading area. In collaboration with the Fixed Income business and other closely related squads in our sister tribes, you will set the strategic direction for digitalisation of our Etrading business. In this role, you will have the opportunity to utilise your skills to leverage business and tech from an end-to-end perspective and work closely together with stakeholders across the organisation. You will be responsible for the prioritisation together with the business and Tribe Leadership Team and ensure timely deliveries within the squad according to our plans. At the same time, you will lead the squad and ensure an excellent work environment with a culture that promotes both teamwork and empowerment.

What you will do

  • Engage with stakeholders at all levels (Fixed Income Traders, IT developers, Quantitative analysts, and Product owners) to bridge business and tech domains to work as one team in Danske Bank, providing state-of-the-art-solutions.
  • Support and execute our F28 strategy on Fixed Income, continuing digital transformation by building strategic solution roadmaps and prioritise our backlog while ensuring continuous alignment to the business and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Create an encouraging and collaborative environment through inclusive leadership.
  • Ensure timely squad deliveries while supporting by coaching and by removing impediments.
  • Lead, plan, and report the ongoing work in relevant forums and communities.
  • As a professional, you enjoy working in a fast paced, changing environment and you can ensure flexibility in our digital solutions to change and adapt the systems. You will be collaborating and using your problem-solving skills with the business owners and end-users across the organisation.

Who you are?
We see you as a colleague with strong interpersonal skills and leadership abilities. You have plenty of stakeholder management experience and are great at communicating at all levels of the organisation. You recognise that diversity and inclusion is foundational for obtaining end-to-end solutions.

In addition, you are:

  • Collaborator by heart – we are one team!
  • Experienced in the Markets Front Office domain – ideally within Fixed Income
  • A genuine curious mind with a high degree of enthusiasm for your subject matter
  • Solution and delivery oriented – you thrive in making decisions and in taking ownership
  • Positively triggered by complexity and can make complex matters simple
  • Strong in capturing and visualizing the big picture, identifying root issues, and breaking them down into manageable components.
  • We also see you as someone with great appreciation for connecting business to IT and platform development - with a love for working in technical domains with tech heavy teams.
