The Operational Control Centre / OCC is part of Vattenfall’s Business Unit Offshore Wind, Integrated Operations. Consisting of 3 sub-departments OCC offers central services within disciplines’ such as marine coordination, turbine surveillance, and high voltage control. As a central service department for windfarms in 6 countries, OCC is leading support to in excess of 1.100 WTG’s on- and offshore. As the central point of contact for our sites 24/7/365, we contribute with a safe and value-creating service ensuring the highest possible availability for our sites.

We are now looking for a Senior Marine Coordinator to support the Marine Coordination Centre (MCC) and corresponding departments in the Operational Control Centre (OCC) - Ensuring the provision of safe, effective and efficient Marine Coordination for all Vattenfall’s Offshore sites.

You will report directly to the Manager of the Marine Coordination Centre.

Your tasks and responsibilities as Senior Marine Coordinator
Stakeholder management and communication will be a central part of the position.

Obtaining crucial information from projects / operations and aligning as required.

Managing general uncertainty and respond to all type situations in a calm and focused manner - without losing the large overview.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure provision of effective, efficient and safe marine coordination for all Vattenfall Offshore sites
  • Become super-user/expert in our software suite with the purpose to provide Familiarization, training and guidance to all users of the utilized Marine Coordination Software etc.
  • Gain an excellent overview of all projects/sites status and progress throughout the entire lifecycle of the windfarm.
  • Take ownership for the scope and conduct of the department and represent it in confidence.
  • Establish solid interfaces to all relevant stakeholders, build trust and ensure good and frequent communication and occasional visits out of office.
  • Obtain the complete overview of tools, software, systems, procedures etc. utilized in the department, and continuously seek to optimize and improve in collaboration with MC’s and Manager.
  • Maintain and cultivate solid interface to our corresponding departments in OCC.
  • Support manager in showcasing and presenting department to stakeholders and visitors

Your work will take place in a multi-cultural atmosphere and it is therefore important that you are open towards other cultures and their way of working. It is important that you manage the spoken and written English language on a high level and it is an advantage if you also can manage Danish and German languages.

Your profile
Your profile

  • Master Mariner’s certificate and relevant offshore/maritime experience (COC according to STCW II/1 and Radio Operator Certificate for VHF Radio (ROC/GOC))
  • Experience from Control Room / Coordination centre is an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent System technical / IT understanding
  • Safety mindset
  • Security awareness
  • Organization- and business understanding
  • Pro-activity and independency with ability to make quick decisions

Personal Qualifications
As you will have a large interface internally in the organization as well as externally it is very important that you have good communication skills, can work independently and can make quick decisions. It is essential that you can remain calm during stressed situations, prioritize and structure your working day.
