The position
In this position, you will get a unique chance to work at the crossroad between development and GMP manufacturing. The “Process Support” organisation in PS API (Product Supply, Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients), provides support to production departments such as: Process optimisation, troubleshooting, and transfer of new processes from development to production. As we support the API production, your role will be to contribute to continuous stable operations and quality in the production of marketed insulins and GLP-1 analogues.

Your fields of work will be:
• Process optimisation
• Support to production facilities including problem-solving.
• Planning and evaluation of experiments
• Preparation of protocols and reports and maintenance of development documentation.

Furthermore, you will be supporting the production departments with scientific data and engaging in professional discussions.

Since the job is self-organized to a large extent, it is very important that you can prioritize work assignments. In this job you can look forward to gaining personal as well as professional development.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, we imagine that you hold a degree within Science, Pharma, Engineering, or other relevant field complimented with some years of overall experience with protein purification including practical experience from industry.

Preferably, you also have experience or knowledge within one or more of the following:
• Separation techniques such as filtration, chromatography, and precipitation
• Organic chemistry and chemical modifications
• Experience from a GMP regulated production is an advantage.

As a person, you work independently, can handle a complex workday, and enjoy a close and friendly collaboration with your team and department. You are responsible, flexible, and have the courage and drive to engage in new assignments and stick to them until the job is finished. It is important that you are a good communicator, since you are in daily contact with other scientists, technicians, production employees, project managers, analytical laboratories, and others. A positive mindset will suit our working environment where a good laugh is appreciated even when things are getting hectic.

About the department
In PS API, we produce the pharmaceutical backbone of our many quality products. PS API Process Support is part of Manufacturing Development, and we have six teams with responsibility for the timely support of the many processes that create our products.

You can look forward to becoming part of a dynamic and well-functioning team consisting of scientists and laboratory technicians. We thrive on professional challenges and work independently with great individual responsibility and a high level of commitment. We collaborate with diverse stakeholders in the organization including production departments, research, regulatory affairs, and QA. We, therefore, enjoy being part of a wide range of activities and projects within the organization.

The department is in Bagsværd, but also has offices in Kalundborg. Our primary objective is to support the production facilities in Kalundborg and USA. You should therefore expect some activities in Kalundborg and possibly travel to our site in USA.
