NKT in the UK is growing and is now looking for an experienced HR Generalist & Recruiter, with the ability to work within a fast paced, busy operational HR function, providing a high level of support to our fellow connectors, whilst supporting our group people strategy and HR operations in the UK. The role is based at our UK HQ, Wilton Centre, Teesside, with a blend of home and office working, split across multiple UK Sites. Some occassional UK and possibly European travel may be required. In this varied role you will support and develop an efficient and capable HR operational function. You will be responsible for delivering a full, effective, and positive HR support service, covering the end-to-end employee lifecycle to all stakeholders, managers, and employees, located both in UK as well as in Europe. You will be asked to contribute to the coordination of all HR, Payroll & Recruiting activities. One of your main tasks will be to contribute towards continuous improvement of our HR & Recruiting processes, ensuring compliance and contributing to add value to the business by beign a trusted partner. The successful candidate must have the relevant right to work authority, be in regularly attendance at our Teesside office and have good, solid generalist experience. You will be qualified or working towards a CIPD Level 5 qualification or be able to demonstrate comparible experience.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Be a consistent champion of our company values with a can do attitude
  • Assist with the recruitment and selection process across the group
  • Oversee the onboarding and integration process
  • Carry out offboarding activities, including conducting of exit interviews
  • Assist with maintenance of HR Policies & local procedures
  • Ensure policies, procedures, terms, and conditions remain up to date and compliant, implementing and communicating changes as necessary.
  • Prepare staff contracts and other communications as required.
  • Maintain accurate and secure employee records and data.
  • Assist with all annual HR processes, to support the implementation and maintenance of all HR related activities, such as employee engagement survey, performance management, employee relations to name a few
  • Assist with Fleet Management, Invoicing, Mobile services and other ad-hoc administrative tasks relating to staff benefits
  • Assist with employee matters including grievances and disciplinaries.
  • Support with HR project and change management where required.
  • Assist with payroll and HMRC compliance were required, including annual salary reviews, annual bonus process and P11D's
  • Participate and contribute to global HR project groups
  • Adhere to all health & safety or other internal policies and processes at all times.
  • Any other duties that may be reasonably required to support the needs of the business.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • CIPD qualified (minimum level 5), or be able to demonstrate relative experience
  • Experience within a HR Operational / Generalist role is essential
  • Knowledge and awareness of employment law and best practices
  • Demonstrates attention to detail and accuracy
  • People and service orientated indivudual
  • Effective communication and Organisational skills
  • Proven IT skills
  • Has the ability to remain focused in relation to requirements to ensure delivery of quality service to our stakeholders, with a can do approach to all tasks
