Senior Engineer Piping

We are looking for a Senior Piping Engineer to strengthen our Piping Engineering department in Asker. As a Senior Piping Engineer you will contribute to Aibel's exciting journey in the ongoing energy transition.
About the position
As a Senior Piping Engineer , you will work with specific tasks and assignments in Aibel's projects as well as contribute to the improvement and further development of the Piping Engineering department.
Responsibilities and tasks include
- Calculate and establish pipe class sheets, work instructions and guidlines
- Follow up on changes to International Standards and Aibel and/or client specifications
- Assist in all technical issues on general leval, evaluate and respond to technical queries
- Assist in piping verification activities
- Piping Detail Standard development/improvement
- Participate in studies and concept development
Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master's degree in relevant field
- 10-15 years experience in EPC projects
- 10 years experience in internal/external pressure calculation, branch reinforcement, component calculation, piping class specification work to ASME/EN. Experience in riser/flow-line calculations to ASME/DNV, including piggability and 5D bends is preferred
- Good knowledge of PCS, PDS, VDS, MDS
- Good knowledge and understanding of Standards (EN, ASME, ASTM, NORSOK, DNV, API), Norwegian Acts and Regulations (Trykkdirektivet PED)
- Experience in high pressure piping and steam piping preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of acoustic fatigue and vibration in piping systems
- Experience with EIS, MMD, PIMS and Pro-Arc is an advantage. Good Excel skills

- Good communication skills, both written and spoken in Norwegian and/or English
