Intern model builder - Copenhagen

We are looking for someone with a strong interest in model making to join our Copenhagen studio’s workshop team as an intern model builder. As part of the workshop team, you will assist in building physical models, early stage sketches as well as high-end presentation models. You’ll use a range of skills and techniques such as digital modelling, 3D printing, CNC knife cutting, CNC milling, moulding & casting, etc. You will also help to maintain a functioning and organised workshop. You’ll be joining a small, close-knit team of professional model builders and a fun, exciting work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Build models out of various materials, using a range of techniques
• Communicate effectively within our team, and with the members of the competition and design teams
• Maintain a neat and organized work space
• Assist with general maintenance of machinery
• Deliver work in a timely manner and meet deadlines

The ideal candidate:

• Is organized, detail oriented and self-motivated
• Can communicate ideas effectively
• Thrives in a fast-paced working environment
• Strives for efficiency
• Has the ability to work alone, but is also a team-player
• Has patience and problem solving skills
• Is currently pursuing a degree in Model Building, 3D Design, or another related field
• Has a proficiency in 3D modelling software (Rhino preferred)

Duration:

• The ideal starting date would be April 1st, 2025. The internship is full-time for 6 months and the position is paid.

While the ideal candidate is currently studying within a making or design field, what matters most is your enthusiasm, passion, and eagerness to learn.
