We work in close cooperation with our client, one of the world's largest fund managers within greenfield renewable energy, where our key competencies are conceptual design and economical modelling of an entire complex, including wind and solar farms, PtX plant, and associated infrastructure (pipe, power cables, ports).

About the Job
As our Senior Process Engineer, you will contribute to developing power-to-X facilities worldwide. You will join a dedicated and skilled team in a role with a great variety of tasks and much potential to develop further within the PtX area. The key deliveries are due diligence, feasibility analysis, and initial conceptual design for PtX projects.

Your accountabilities will include the following:

  • Leading the process development of the chemical plant, i.e., leading feasibility studies, pre-FEED, and act as technical advisor with senior process expertise in all technical/commercial negotiations related to the project
  • Plant optimization, i.e., assist our modelling team in techno-economic optimization, providing required technical and economic data
  • Participation in technical classification meetings, exhibit reviews, and negotiations
  • Technical support on proposals, tender processes, safety assessments, and plant commissioning
  • Technical assistance to project stakeholders
  • Evaluation of project maturity during the development stage
  • Conversion of detailed engineering to fit contents for decision reports/presentations
  • Third-party verification management
  • Enhancement of knowledge sharing and optimal project execution

Our headquarters are in Denmark. However, we are a global company with a global mindset and our projects are worldwide; thus, some traveling may be expected.

About You

You possess a natural curiosity and passion for acquiring new knowledge. You are structured and analytical by nature and enjoy providing high-quality deliverables and value-adding inputs to ongoing workstreams.

We also expect you to enrich our business with the following qualifications and experience:

  • MSc. degree in chemical engineering or other relevant engineering
  • +10 years’ relevant experience with chemical processes
  • Experience with processes for the production of renewables such as electrolysis, steam methane reforming (SMR), Haber-Bosch process, methanol synthesis, methanization, synthesis of higher hydrocarbons (methanol-2-X and Fischer-Tropsch-synthesis), refinery processes, carbon capture, thermal treatment of biomass/waste, CO2 sequestration, etc.
  • Process experience, including PFD, equipment design, P&ID, and process safety-related tasks
  • Excellent team player with strong interpersonal/organizational skills
  • Fluent communication skills in English (written and verbal)
