The WTG Package Manager is responsible for ensuring a safe, suitable, effective, and optimal transport and installation plan for the WTGs of the offshore wind farms. Responsible for the installation is undertaken with compliance to industry standards, and to defining installation strategies and plans, tendering, negotiating offshore installation contracts, planning, and implementing installation. The WTG Package Manager will be required to be self-driven, motivated, team orientated and with sound experience in project procurement and project delivery phases.

Description of the position, key responsibility and tasks:

• Lead & ‘package manage’ WTG related activities for the offshore wind project at various phases of project maturity, including coordinating communications, meetings, and information exchange with WTG Suppliers, project partners and other project disciplines.
• Support early phase projects with concept selection, development and contributing to project bid writing, whilst transferring lessons learned from operations and execution projects, and identifying, managing, and controlling or mitigating projects risks related to WTG.
• Technical due diligence activities towards WTG suppliers and new WTG technology, including assessment of WTG design, certification process, manufacturing, delivery, installation, commissioning etc.
• Lead the WTG procurement processes, including development of WTG procurement strategies, preparation of tender documents (together with procurement specialists), assessment and evaluation of tender returns, and contract negotiations with WTG suppliers.
• Lead the WTG package team during execution phase, responsible for supervising WTG design, fabrication, preassembly, installation, and commissioning & testing activities.
• Lead managing WTG related sub-contractors/suppliers during execution phase
• Management of WTG installation, ensuring that contingency plans are being developed as required to ensure the delivery on time or with as little impact to program as possible.
• Ensure that the installation scope is analyzed and optimized to ensure safest and most efficient installation possible.
• Coordinate with the other packages to ensure safe installation in the project execution.
• Preparation of O&M handover.
• Actively contribute to organisational development through process improvement, standardization, simplification, and lessons learnt.

Qualification:

• Proven experience in a similar role within the offshore/onshore wind industry.
• Engineering degree.
• Minimum five-eight years of experience, knowledge, and competence within the technical area.
• Project management corresponding to minimum PL2 / PMP
• Experience within procurement, contract and claim management.
• Proficient in both written and oral English communication.
• Good interpersonal skills and a team player.
• Ability to keep the overview, work under pressure, and to tight deadlines.
