In Solteq’s Data Platforms & Analytics business unit, we have a versatile history of solving various data-related challenges. Our focus is on building solutions that provide business-critical and unique insights for our clients about their operations and business. Our goal with every data solution we develop is that our clients can, in turn, develop and optimize their business processes and performance in digital and physical channels, ensure relevance to their customers, and maximize their customer value.

Now we are especially looking for a Data Architect or a Senior Data Architect to join our team.

The ideal candidate is a person who:

• Has 5+ years of experience from data intensive development, e.g. from Data Warehouse or BI projects, Data platforms, Analytics development or Data migrations/integrations. For candidates of suitable experience, the position can be adjusted to senior level.
• Has a deep interest to work as a Data Architect or is already in a similar role in somewhere else and wants to take it a step further.
• Is quite savvy in translating the customer’s business processes as data requirements.
• Gets the job done and can also tell what has been done.
• Can communicate work related issues easily with colleagues and customer stakeholders, and can translate technical jargon to business level topics.
• Understands the business value of data and analytics.
• Is interested in getting and staying on top of the latest relevant technology trends.
• Is solution-oriented with a developer’s mindset but is also able to communicate relevant issues with team and business stakeholders.
• Is located in Finland, as majority of your future colleagues and current and future customers are located there as well.
• Ability to speak Finnish is considered as a plus due to some of our current and future customers have this as a working language, but by no means is this mandatory. Our company’s working language is English.

What's Desirable?

We’d be thrilled to see that you have the following technical skills and knowhow:

• Professional ability in SQL and Python.
• Familiarity with Azure ecosystem.
• Familiarity with ETL/ELT data pipelines and Data Integration tools and concepts.
• Familiarity with modern data architecture concepts.
• Familiarity with modern data warehouse solutions.
• Familiarity with data modelling techniques.
• Experience from agile development, as a developer or in a facilitative role.

Perhaps you know or are familiar with some of the following specific technologies and subject areas:

• Snowflake
• Other public cloud environments (e.g. AWS, Google).
• In-depth knowledge about or certified in Data Vault 2.0 data warehousing concepts, design patterns and different use cases in general.
• DWA (data warehouse automation) tools.
• Dimensional data modelling, star schemas and data marts.
• Direct development or data delivery experience with BI tools, such as Power BI, Qlik or other BI tools.
• Designing or building AI solutions.
• Other programming languages, such as C#.
• Energy/utility or retail industries.Other relevant competencies? Please let us know!
