To realize our ambition, we need a Strategic Sourcing Manager to help us define and shape the future of our sourcing strategy.

With direct reference to our Head of Indirect Sourcing, you will become an integrated part of the Indirect Sourcing team consisting of 6 dedicated colleagues. Together, we are at the forefront of developing and implementing sourcing strategies for 10 diverse sourcing categories and are currently implementing structured category management practices as part of Kamstrup's international growth journey. A job with focus on sourcing Production Equipment and implementation of category management
As our new Strategic Sourcing Manager, your primary responsibility will revolve around Kamstrup's sourcing category, Production Equipment. The category consists of Production machines, Maintenance and Repair services and other smaller parts for Kamstrup factories. The keyword is “global”, reflecting our growth ambitions. Kamstrup has factories in Denmark and in the US – and we are continuously evaluating new production sites. Sourcing projects in other categories may also need attention, depending on the overall team prioritization and strategy. Furthermore, you will be working on implementing category management and defining the sourcing strategy in close collaboration with our internal key stakeholders.

More specifically, you will be responsible for:

• Driving and developing category management that is supported by an effective governance structure
• Analyzing spend, contracts, suppliers, supply market situation, innovation, and translating into business insights
• Executing the category strategy and leading sourcing projects through tendering, negotiations, and supplier management etc.
• Cultivating strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners and suppliers
• Ensuring that sourced solutions align with targets and delivering an attractive total cost of ownership (TCO) and Life Cycle Management (LCM).

You can expect 5-15 travel days a year to visit suppliers and/or our production site in Cumming, Georgia.

Personality matters
We are looking for a result-oriented Strategic Sourcing Manager, who will play an essential role in contributing to the ongoing success of Kamstrup trough a great business acumen, technical interest, and drive. We imagine that you have an academic background within business, engineering or similar, combined with minimum 5+ years of experience within sourcing, advanced manufacturing, process management/consulting or similar – preferably from an international company.

As a person you are naturally curious and have a motivation for gaining new knowledge and optimization, which contribute to your thriving in our proactive approach to work. You are driven by your desire to create change and use it to challenge the status quo and drive innovation and improvement. You hold excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills which makes you able to seamless communicate across all organizational levels both internally and externally. Furthermore, you have a structured mindset which allows you to prioritize effectively and remain persistent in pursuing goals.

It is a requirement that you speak and write English and Danish fluently
