Senior project manager

We are looking for a senior project manager to join a strong team in an international organisation with high ambitions. Based on your experience within the maritime industry and leadership you will be heading our offshore service team which includes 12 employees.

The role
As a senior project manager in VMS Group, you will be part of our international setup. Your role will involve development and responsibility for projects and tasks in our Offshore team and daily coordination of service tasks in the team. You participate in preparation of quotations and execution of major projects, and you manage and provide technical support for your team colleagues. This includes ordering of spare parts, invoicing, and report writing in cooperation with our service team. You are committed to ensuring a high level of quality and service towards customers and colleagues through flexibility, dialogue and observation of deadlines. Visits to customers and subcontractors as well as project execution will be part of the role amounting to approx. 20 travel days annually.
Your professional skills
- A technical education as a marine engineer or similar.
- Strong knowledge of medium-speed marine engines.
- Minimum 5 years’ practical experience from maritime business.
- Proven experience in leading teams/remote leadership. (Leading leaders/leading others).
- Strong English skills, both orally and in writing.
- You thrive in a dynamic and rapidly changing work environment.
- You strive to find the right solution for both customer and VMS Group.
- You are passionate about management and know how to make a team collaborate towards a common goal.
- Knowledge of project management is an advantage, since this is required in connection with major complex projects.
