Are you a structured and efficient Project Manager? Are you motivated by establishing and following best practices within IT projects and influencing the way we work with digitalization? Then we might be looking for you!

You will join the newly established Delivery Excellence team within the global IT & Digital Enablement (IT&DE) organisation in VELUX. Together with your team of 8-10 colleagues you will support the entire VELUX Group by managing internal IT projects and working actively and continuously on improving our ways of working.

What you will do
As our new IT Project Manager, your primary responsibilities will be to lead and coordinate digital projects ranging from implementations of new standard systems to development of new custom build digital channels – obviously in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Furthermore, you will contribute to, or maybe even drive, the continuous improvement of our project management methodology.

Your primary tasks will be to:

• Build and maintain plans to secure effective project execution based on clear goals, scope and the right project organization in cooperation with the project owner.
• Identify resource demand and align resource allocations with resource owners.
• Engage in change management ensuring effective communication with relevant stakeholders
• Monitor and follow up on deliverables/milestones and manage changes to goals or scope.
• Manage project risks, ensuring appropriate mitigation actions are in place.
• Close down projects, securing continued operations and continuous improvement of our delivery models.

You will report to the Head of Delivery Excellence based at our Head Office in Hørsholm and you will be based here or at our office in Kolding. You will be part of a global organization; we utilise our available technology to work virtually but you can expect some limited travelling.

Who you are
We are looking for you, who have at least 3 years of relevant work experience in the area of Project Management, IT Consulting or similar roles within IT. You have a proven history of managing projects and securing effective delivery within a matrix environment at a large enterprise organisation.

Furthermore, we are looking for you who:

• Holds a degree at bachelor’s level or above.
• Have solid interpersonal skills, making you capable of guiding and coaching a team and communicating with relevant stakeholders.
• Work in a structured way with the ability to organise and prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
• Have great analytical skills to assess problems and mitigate effectively while adhering to quality assurance principles.
• Demonstrate expertise and commitment to best practices in project management e.g., bringing certifications such as IPMA Level D, PMP or Prince2.
• Have some experience with or interest in working with model development and project management methodologies in connection to strategy execution.
• Are fluent in English (spoken and written).
