Specialist or Project Manager - Environment
COWI A/S
Do you want to contribute to make Denmark more sustainable? Do you have experience working with environmental compliance, permits of industrial facilities, industrial emissions, environmental impact assessment, PtX, OML calculations or a related field? Then, this could be the next adventure in your career.
Turn challenges into sustainable solutions
In COWI, we work to move Denmark in the direction of green transition, sustainability, climate adaptation and innovative urban development. Therefore, we are looking for a colleague to help us implement sustainability, green transition, and circular economy in practice. We are about 170 colleagues working alongside our customers on some of Denmark’s most significant projects within environmental conditions. And we are thrilled to have contributed to some of Denmark's most interesting projects in this area like HØST PtX Esbjerg - a ground-breaking new Power-to-X plant.
We are looking for a Specialist or Project Manager, to join us on our journey to further the green transition of Denmark.
Your key activities will be:
- Preparation of Environmental assessments and environmental approvals/permits in the industrial area
- Preparation of baseline reports
- OML calculations (dispersion and deposition of air emissions)
- Sewer connection permits (tilslutningstilladelser)
- Discharge and percolation (nedsivning) of industrial wastewater
- BAT reference documents
- Dialogue with authorities in connection with environmental approvals/permits for industry and energy plants, Power to X (PtX), Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) plants etc.
Your skills. Our team. Together we design the future
The first step to success in this role is that you are eager to collaborate with the people around you - whether they are colleagues, partners or customers. Developing ties with others is something you do by acting respectfully and delivering on your promises. And you never get set in your ways, but keep exploring new insights and ways to improve.
We imagine that you have at least a few years of experience working with one or more of the areas mentioned above and you thrive in a role where you have direct contact with your clients.
On top of that, you will have:
- The drive to support our clients towards a greener future by identifying and recommending improvements within environmental aspects and processes.
- The ability to work structured and focused.
- At least 3 years of experience working with one or more of the fields above.
- Fluent in Danish – both written and spoken
- English on business level
It is an advantage if you have knowledge of Danish and/or EU legislation in the environmental field.
