Core Responsibilities

The Head of Benefits and Wellbeing is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the employee benefits and wellbeing programs at the LEGO Group in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Finland, covering both salaried, hourly and LEGO Brand Retail employees.

This role focuses on enhancing employee satisfaction and engagement by providing competitive and innovative benefit packages and manage local wellbeing initiatives. The Head of Benefits and Wellbeing collaborates with various departments to ensure benefits and wellbeing programs align with the organization's global strategic goals and comply with local legal and collective requirements.

Your tasks will include:

  • Develop, implement, and manage local employee benefits programs such as health insurance, retirement plans, insurances, and other supplemental benefits.
  • Financially responsible for managing the benefits portfolio, including cost/benefit analysis of impact.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations including relevant collective agreements and with respect for local taxation rules.
  • Coordination and alignment with the Global Rewards team regarding global benefit strategy and governance.
  • Implementation of global signature benefits for the LEGO Group in the Nordic region.
  • Design and oversee comprehensive employee wellbeing initiatives, including physical, mental, and financial wellbeing programs, offered both in-house and by external vendors.
  • Audit and assess the effectiveness of developed health & wellbeing initiatives, and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Work closely with the global wellbeing team, EHS and other key partners to ensure relevant initiatives are aligned and scaled to support the health and wellbeing of our employees in the LEGO Group in the Nordic region.
  • Lead and mentor a team of benefits and wellbeing professionals, providing guidance and support.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture focused on delivering exceptional service to employees.

Play your part in our team succeeding
This role is integrated in the People Places and Culture team (PPC) focusing on the benefit and wellbeing initiatives offered at our HQ in Denmark and our sales offices in Northern Europe. This leadership role has a team of 3 benefit partners, health professionals looking at our processes and a team of social workers and in-house psychologist supporting our workforce to return to work in the most suitable way.

Do you have what it takes?
The ideal candidate brings a proven experience in benefits or health and wellbeing management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role in a corporate environment. You have a solid knowledge of employee benefit regulations and compliance under Danish Industry standards as well as an ability to lead and develop a team of specialists.

As a person, you hold excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills coupled with exceptional communication, project management and change management skills. You navigate well with ambiguity and multiple tasks. Finally, you are great at collaborating and partnering with teams across the organization to align on global and local strategies.
