JOB DESCRIPTION
On behalf of Energinet we are searching for a Domain Architect - Grid Operations to join their team. This key position has become available as their previous Domain Architect has progressed to an Enterprise Architect role. This is your chance to step into a vital role and help shape the future of their IT landscape.

Energinet is an independent organization under the Climate, Energy, and Supply Ministry, playing a vital role in the transition to green energy. Energinet's new strategy, "Energy on Time," is crucial for achieving a swift green transition of Denmark's energy system by 2030. This strategy necessitates significant changes across Energinet, particularly within the digital unit. These changes require substantial modifications to the underlying infrastructure, with a high priority on innovative and effective solutions.

As a Domain Architect, you will focus on understanding and addressing business needs by establishing and maintaining the IT landscape, roadmap, and target architecture for your domain. In the domain, you will work with Energinet’s general grid operations and their SCADA system. You will balance the competing needs of various stakeholders and align them with Enterprise Architecture to design coherent tactical solutions that adhere to Energinet's overall direction and strategy.

Your role involves evaluating all business requirements and assessing their impact on the IT landscape, with a holistic consideration of technical debt, conflicts, and security. You will define reference architecture based on industry and company best practices and communicate these clearly to Team Architects and Software Developers. In this position Energinet is looking for a person who can handle both the technical challenges and communicate clearly with managers and other stakeholders.

Your primary tasks and areas of responsibility:

• Bridge the gap between business and IT, ensuring alignment and effective communication.
• Develop and maintain the architectural roadmap for the Grid operations and SCADA domain, in line with business and IT strategies.
• Coordinate and prioritize IT workspace related initiatives in collaboration with Product Owners.
• Document and manage the grid operations landscape to ensure clarity and accuracy.
• Update and align the reference architecture for the domain with Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architects, and other Domain Architects.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
The ideal candiate is expected to have a technical education at BA or MA level, but experience from a similar role is more important.

Furthermore, Energinet expects:

• Experience in working with solution architecture.
• A technical background, but also the capability to talk with managers and other company stakeholder.
• Experience with SCADA systems.
• Experience with aligning IT solutions with business strategies and manage stakeholder needs.
• Preferably experience with Kubernetes or other container orchestration systems.

Energinet own and produce electricity- and gas networks in Denmark. Their mission is to integrate more sustainable energy, maintain security of supply and secure equal market access to the networks. Their core assignment is solving the energy trilemma: Readjusting electricity- and gas systems to run on green energy, while sustaining a high level of security of supply and making sure that the readjustment is economically sustainable for both customer and society.
