Then you might be the new Data Analyst in our Global Operational Excellence team!

As a Data Analyst, you will work alongside a team of dedicated professionals, utilizing analytical skills to drive continuous improvement in our operations.

We offer
As a Data Analyst you will join our dedicated Global Operational Excellence team within the Sales Regions, reporting into Tramaine Winther (Senior Manager). Our team was founded less than 12 months ago, and this position is brand new – giving you the opportunity to make your mark on how to fulfill the responsibilities of this position, thereby making your mark on the VELUX organization.

The purpose of our team is to improve efficiency and effectiveness in the customer experience across our customer call centers and field service technicians, as well as accelerating the digitalization of our customer experience.

Our customer service organization already delivers a high service quality with happy customers and engaged employees, therefore, focus is on future proofing our position in the market. To ensure this, we believe data insights and analytics are critical for strategic guidance, decision-making and to gain a competitive advantage.

You will be joining a fun and welcoming team and you can be based in either Hørsholm, Hamburg or Paris.

Key responsibilities
One of your primary responsibilities will be to develop and enable business cases for key strategic projects.

You will collaborate with the OpEx team members, regions and other cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and objectives and then utilize data analysis techniques to formulate comprehensive business cases, including cost-benefit analysis, risk assessment, and projected outcomes which will be used to guide decision-making.

Your primary tasks will be to:

  • Work closely with stakeholders across departments and markets to gather and understand data
  • Develop and enable business cases end-to-end, from data collection, validation and cleansing to analysis and presentation
  • Conduct data analysis and evaluation to identify trends, patterns, and insights to support and share OpEx’s strategic priorities and projects
  • Create visually appealing and informative reports and presentations to communicate key findings and business insights
  • Design and develop BI tools, reports, and data models, as well as monitoring and maintaining the performance of existing BI tools and systems.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to data integrity, reporting, and functionality in a timely manner
  • Provide ad hoc analysis to management and other OpEx projects

Who we are looking for
To be the ideal candidate for this role, you are a skilled professional with a relevant finance degree combined with a couple of years of experience as management consultant, from a finance function or similar, and ideally bring experience creating and communicating business cases and data insights.

You have advanced skills in Excel, being able to use a variety of data analysis functions and formulas.

Furthermore you:

  • Have data visualization skills and experience with creating and using dashboards e.g. in Power BI
  • Have strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret different and complex data sets and draw actionable insights.
  • Have the ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines effectively and efficiently
  • Bring experience working across functions, countries and cultures in a global matrix organization, and are great at working collaboratively with people at all levels of an organization.
  • Have advanced verbal and written communication skills, and is fluent in written and spoken English.

As a person, you enjoy working on the strategic and tactic level but your ‘can do’ attitude, problem solving skills and pragmatic mindset also ensures that you get things done! You pay attention to detail, quality and accuracy, you are analytical, and you are not afraid to challenge status quo.

Since the role is global and new you can expect 30- 40 travel days per year. The amount may vary based on ongoing projects/priorities and over time and can be planned in proper time in advance.
