Would you like to join a new department that will deliver complex engineering projects and innovative solutions for a leading CDMO in the biopharmaceutical industry?

For our ambitious and fast-growing team in Copenhagen, we are seeking a CAPEX Controller. In this role, you will join our newly formed PMO team, where you will play a pivotal part in balancing the detailed aspects of individual projects with the broader perspective necessary for managing our entire project portfolio, along with long-term forecasting and planning. As a key contributor to the successful establishment of our Project Management Office (PMO), you will lead the coordination and management of all CAPEX-related finances.

The Department
The PMO is a new department that has grown out of an organizational transformation which the Engineering function is undergoing after several years of substantial growth and increased complexity.

The purpose of the PMO is to efficiently manage Engineering projects and execute a broad spectrum of tasks related to project management, business support, and portfolio management. Their purpose is to ensure that Engineering projects are developed, designed, and executed efficiently, resources are utilized optimally, and the overall project portfolio aligns with Engineering’s strategic goals while also providing essential business and administrative assistance to projects.

The team consists of a dual pillar of robust project management capability and strong portfolio management, controlling, reporting, and administration.

The role
The purpose of the Senior CAPEX Controller is to support engineering management and the teams who are executing engineering projects, being responsible for business planning, control, and reporting, including strategic planning, business case development, and financial analyses and performance. Provide accurate and timely overviews of investment, cash flow, and balance sheet elements related to CAPEX projects.

The Senior CAPEX Controller must oversee and drive the reinvest budget and the reinvest committee. Support establishment of CAPEX and project management excellence.

You will…

• Be a vital part of the project team and collaborate closely with our Project Manager on financial controlling on budget, estimate to complete and reporting of the project.

• Collaborate with the project contractors to facilitate smooth execution of workflows and documents from POs to final invoice approval.

• Own the monthly executive KPI reporting on both individual projects and the project portfolio.

• Be the site lead for the capital investment application process, securing site coordination and collaborating with global engineering and other sites.

• Perform various analytical tasks within CAPEX cost controlling and forecasting.

You have…

• An academic background, minimum at the bachelor's level within business finance or a similar field.

• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience with project controlling and reporting and have a solid understanding of controlling structure for investment projects.

• Familiarity with CAPEX investment portfolios and can independently communicate with stakeholders.

• Have worked with multi-disciplinary coordination on CAPEX investments and can cooperate internationally.

• A good understanding of working with a corporate ERP system and are familiar with the data transfer between ERP system and Excel (or other systems and tools) for further analysis and visualization.

• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and extensive experience in handling large data sets.

• Dedicated team player with the ability to communicate fluently in English and, preferably, Danish at all levels of the organization.
