IT Systems Administrator
Ørsted
Join us in this role where you’ll work towards enabling the digital transformation and globalisation of the most sustainable company in the world.
Welcome to Ørsted IT
You’ll be part of Application Maintenance and Expansion Services team where you, together with your colleagues, will ensure the smooth operation of IT applications crucial to our wind and power plant operations, as well as shared functions. As the primary caretaker of specific applications, you’ll engage in regular interactions with users and other stakeholders throughout the organisation. In collaboration with various IT groups, we provide consistent production support, manage application life cycles, and handle projects, all within an agile framework across our locations. As a team, we build our culture on mutual support, continuous learning, and knowledge sharing.
You’ll play an important role in:
- supporting and maintaining a close dialogue with business users in daily production operations
- maintaining and securing existing production infrastructure and application software components
- participating in application life cycle management activities and projects across the organisation
- collaborating with architects, IT engineers, and other key stakeholders to design and implement new projects
- assisting in the AWS Cloud journey.
To succeed in the role, you:
- are proficient in planning, coordinating, and communicating complex tasks with precision in an open and constructive environment, excel at building and maintaining stakeholder relationships, and are dedicated to contributing to team success, where English is the primary corporate language
- have extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in managing the life cycle of on-premises applications, from initial deployment to ongoing maintenance, and have demonstrated experience in providing IT support for complex business processes and applications
- have solid experience with server operating systems, incl. Windows Server and Linux, and have knowledge of at least one type of relational database
- are skilled in automation and scripting, with experience in PowerShell
- have experience (installation and maintenance) with web server and application server technologies, such as IIS, Apache, Tomcat, or Weblogic, and have a basic understanding of network troubleshooting
- may have experience with industrial or CCTV systems, which is a plus but not strictly required.
Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
