Team Customer Core is looking for a new talented senior Software Engineer with Cobol skills to be a part of our team that owns Customer data and systems in Core Baking Domain.
This position is located in our Warsaw, but the team works from both Warsaw and Roskilde. Customer Core consists of 11 ambitious team members with different competencies within business knowledge, IT development, Test and IT architecture. The Customer Cluster consists of two dedicated teams: Customer Core and Customer Solutions.
Customer Core which you will be part of owns the Customer data and systems in Core Banking Domain and we are on an important mission to secure the best circumstances for our Banks as Customer data/systems are fundamental.
Customer Solutions (our sister team) is on a dedicated journey securing GDPR and Compliance robustness in our data and architecture.
At BEC, we prefer to collaborate often in the office, but we also keep the opportunity to work remotely up to 8 days per month.
Your primary tasks and responsibilities will include:
In the position as Software Engineer, you will work closely with fellow Software Engineers, the Product Owner, Business Analysts, Team Architect and Scrum Master. Your primary tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Development, testing, technical design and technical analysis of stories and bugs found or reported to the team,
- supporting the testing process with troubleshooting and fixing bugs,
- refining new stories, evaluating technical feasibility and design.
To succeed you will:

- work well independently as well as in a team.
- take responsibility for the tasks assigned to you and if necessary, involve the right colleagues to find a solution.
- experience with translating feature descriptions into user stories.
- have an agile mindset.
- have knowledge about the financial sector is considered an advantage
With colleagues in the team distributed in Denmark and Poland, you must master English at a high level both in writing and orally.
