Strategic Advisor to SVP, Falck Western Europe and Commercial

As Strategic Advisor you will drive, plan and execute the strategic initiatives on behalf of the SVP. The Strategic Advisor is the extended arm of the SVP assuring strategy execution and simultaneously driving his/her own projects in the organisation – either cross-functional or in a specific country.

The Strategic Advisor´s role is to strengthen the focus on the mid- and long-term actions ensuring that Falck continues to develop solutions and offerings that meet patient´s changing and increased needs as well as maintaining Falck as an attractive employer.

The role is part of the Falck Western Europe management team and will be reporting directly to the SVP.

About the job

• Executing on priorities:Ensure execution of the SVP priorities. These are a combination of tactic and strategic initiatives – either central or in a specific country – aiming to create improvements in performance, client or employee satisfaction or delivery quality.
• Annual wheel:Develop and execute the annual strategic wheel in collaboration with Business Finance Officer for the area. The Strategic Advisor will ensure the division plans and have the right strategic discussions in due time.
• Advisor to the SVP:Discuss, analyse, and explore different paths in the future development of the business unit.
• Project management:Project management and participation in selected projects on behalf of the SVP.
• Risk management:Drive quarterly risk management process for the business unit
• Public affairs/Client relationships:Plan and execute the SVP activities (meetings, visits, etc.) in alignment with the relevant Group functions and other business unit´s activities.
• Day-to-day:Drive the day-to-day preparation for the SVP in close collaboration with SVP and EA to SVP.

About you We are looking for a proven executer with an international track record. You have a record creating results in challenging customer environments and large organizations. In addition to this, we expect the following:

A relevant master’s degree (e.g. Business and/or Finance)

• 4-5 years of project management experience
• 2-3 years of experience as trusted advisor on senior management level or as an external consultant
• Strong strategic reasoning and analytical skills
• Strong organizational and people skills, enabling you to cooperate and communicate across the organizational levels and cultures
• Well-structured and organized, with a high degree of individuality and self-drive
• You work proactively and solution-oriented and is known for taking initiative
• You act with a high level of integrity and trustworthiness and are used to handle sensitive and confidential information
• Fluent in English and Danish. it is a must that you master Danish as the Danish regions and municipalities are a big part of the client base
• Excellent relationship building and a proven record in building relationships
• Strong communicator in getting things done through diplomacy and persuasion
• Collaborate in confidence with different cultures and different people across cultures
• Navigate fluently on different organizational levels
• Instil energy and optimism in the organization, see new ways to known problems
• Understand the complexity in large organizations driven by multiple political agendas (Falck´s clients)

We imagine that you have previously worked with senior stakeholders in a service delivery organization.

About us

Falck Western Europe is a cluster of the Ambulance and Fire services run in Denmark, Sweden, Spain and Germany. The annual revenue is DKK 3.6+ billion and we employ approximately 8000 people. All country managing directors report directly to the SVP.

Commercial is a group staff function responsible for commercial excellence, operational excellence, new market entries and medical/clinical supervision for all ambulance services across the globe. Apart from Western Europe, the function supports Eastern Europe and the USA. All country commercial directors have a dotted line to the SVP.
