At Abacus Medicine we are searching for a BI team lead to join our Data & Analytics (D&A) Department. The BI team is responsible for our BI platform with assignments ranging from data modelling, data sparring, BI coaching and developing advanced BI solutions to running projects to keep our architecture on the cutting-edge of technology.

We seek to provide excellent data services in close cooperation with business stakeholders, push the limits of our current data and BI environment as well as promoting the data-driven culture across all business units. In your role as a BI team lead you will be tasked with solving problems across the entire data life cycle encompassing tasks such as:

• Collaborate with key stakeholders to prioritize projects based on overall priorities for the D&A organization.
• Driving and maintain a vision for the BI department and services aligned with the overarching digital strategy.
• Investigate and implement modern concepts within BI services and workflows.
• Lead and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
• Build and maintain relationships within the organization to promote the analytics journey and represent the departments services effectively.
• Collaborate with the other departments within the digital organization to align the direction with overall goals for the department.
• Strengthen the current annual roadmap and learning path for the branch, coordinating initiatives for organized execution.
• Ensure processes and tools are in place for the team to deliver a BI platform that provides excellent service.
• Exercise technical leadership to maintain and develop the platform according to best practices in collaboration with the team members.
• Collaborate with data providers for designing and troubleshooting the assets.
• Create monitoring and feedback mechanisms to ensure high value for end users.

To succeed in the job it is important that you are passionate about what you do, talented technically, interested to work with new cloud technologies and find it motivating to provide high quality data services that the entire organization relies on for decision-making and advanced analytics. You enjoy working in an ambitious team and have a creative problem-solving approach.

It’s an advantage if you have:

• Experience and proven record in leading technical unit with customer facing services
• Experience in developing individuals (and teams) from a technical and qualitative aspect.
• Experience in collaborating with a broad range of customers and leading the team to support the business needs for BI solutions.
• Prior knowledge with cloud BI infrastructures and the tech stack (Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Power BI) is a strong advantage.
• It’s an advantage to have experience with developing and coaching BI competencies in non-technical units to increase data literacy.
• Expertise in SQL and it’s an advantage to have an understanding of Python but not a requirement.
• Interest in data/BI platforms, business processes and targets, cross-disciplinary exchange of solutions and knowledge, and working as a team across departments and roles.
• A master's degree in a relevant field.
• Good oral and written communication skills in English.
