The position is located in either Taastrup, Denmark or Vantaa, Finland - location depends on the candidate.

Join our Credit Risk function at a time of change
In our Shared Service Center, more precisely the Credit Risk function, you become part of a Nordic team primarily based in Taastrup, Denmark or Helsinki, Finland. Here you will meet a team who welcomes you into an informal culture where we speak a mix of Scandinavian languages and English. Our Credit Risk Shared Service Center consists of Credit Analysts headed by the Nordic Credit Risk Manager LoD1 and the - to be established - Credit Risk LoD2 function.

The Credit Risk LoD2 function manages several activities, such as:

• Making credit decisions when credit authority is above credit analyst level and validate ratings used during the credit assessment.
• Monitoring the portfolio for early warning indicators, watchlist, and defaults
• Oversight, challenge, and validation for provision calculations, Cost of Risk (CoR) budget and estimate, provisioning activities, forbearance measures and collection activities e.g.
• Oversight of the scoring and rating rules and of the whole credit process
• Challenge and support for implementation of risk management measures by the business lines and support units to ensure that the processes and controls put in place by the 1st line of defence are well designed and effective

The position as Credit Risk Manager (LoD2)
As our Credit Risk Manager, you will be a part of ALD’s 2nd line of Defence which is a strategic risk monitoring and control function.

More specifically, your key tasks include:

• Managing and further developing the Credit Risk LoD2 Shared Service Center activities in line with the procedures as defined at Central level
• Performing an execution role in measuring, monitoring, and controlling Credit Risk LoD2 activities
• Support correct implementation and application of risk policies and risk management measures by the business lines and support units
• Collaborating with relevant entities and stakeholders on Credit Risk related subject incl. Local, Regional and Central based partners.

Visionary subject matter expert and a natural leader
You are first and foremost an experienced Credit Risk Professional

Moreover, we imagine that you:

• Bring a relevant University degree (Bachelor/Masters level) e.g. in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration.
  • Furthermore higher education on Credit risks topics, combined with adequate knowledge of the financial sector is an advantage.
• Possess strong financial analysis and accounting capabilities.
• Have extensive knowledge about the scope of risk management and Credit risks including a very good understanding of current requirements in Credit risks management and governance.
• Previously have worked in a comparable role and have experience in development and implementation of risk policies.
• Speak and write at least one of the Scandinavian languages. Professional in oral and written English is a must.
• Can communicate information that is timely, relevant, and audience tailored.
• As the new Credit Risk LoD2 function will evolve by time, we also wish you to have leadership experience and the capacity to manage a small team and encourage a collaborative environment.
