Senior Test Specialist

Quality and Test Management at Dalux

We are looking for a Senior Test Specialist to join our software development organization. This role will be one of the first hires in our scale-up environment, it is an opportunity to be part of something new and exciting from the ground up. You would be a key person to how Dalux should build up the test environment.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall quality of our software products, as well as doing hand-on test planning and execution. Furthermore, you will be responsible for building a new chapter in Dalux’ history and be a part of the automation journey. As a Senior Test Specialist, you would be responsible for the quality in 2-3 teams.

The responsibilities could be:

• Defining and executing Test plans and agreeing with stakeholders

• Document and maintain functional, technical and business test cases in our test management tool (we use AIOTest /Jira)

• Working closely with new and existing teams across Dalux in setting up efficient use of testing methodologies & supporting them to work with continuous testing.

• Defect management and tracking the root cause of issues to build regression tests.

• Taking an active role in community of QA practices

Your background

We expect you to have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering or similar and experience in Quality Management or Software Testing roles, with a track record of delivering high-quality software products

• Several years of test development experience

• Curious mind and eager to learn

• Strong analytical skills – can understand complex issues and suggest creative approaches for solving them

• Experience in unit testing, regression testing, integration testing, and being able to figure out the right balance between manual vs automation testing.

• Effective communication skills to effectively collaborate with development functional teams

• Ability to understand code and skills in Querying database

• Knowledge of Cypress, webDriver, XUnit or similar is a plus

• Experience from using API, Security, Performance testing with tools (RestAssured/Postman/JMeter/SonarQube etc.) is a plus.
