Trackman is searching for a Procurement Manager for Electronics

The Procurement Manager for Electronics is a critical role that combines operational, tactical, and strategic responsibilities. Besides ensuring component for daily production, this role is essential in supporting the R&D development team and ensuring the alignment of technical requirements with commercial strategies. The successful candidate will minimize future sourcing risks, enable R&D prototyping, optimize the supplier base, and secure optimal commercial agreements that align with current and future technological needs.

Key Responsibilities

Operational and Tactical Management

  • Manage electronic materials call-off and ensure timely availability of components for production plans
  • Oversee tactical planning and component sourcing to meet project deadlines and production schedules
  • Represent Supply Chain in ECO meetings, Analyze cost impacts associated with procurement of ECO revised components or materials and managing existing internal/external inventory of materials or components that may be affected by ECOs
  • Communicate ECO changes / BoM revision changes to supplier

Supplier Relationship and Management

  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers to build a reliable and cost-effective supplier base
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure alignment with the company's technical and commercial requirements

Support of R&D Development Team

  • Act as a liaison between the R&D development team and suppliers, ensuring clear communication of technical requirements
  • Participate in project meetings to ensure availability of components and material for prototyping, risk-buys and production ramp-up
  • Support the development team by providing insights into the latest technological advancements and market trends
  • Balance ramp-up of inventory for new products with risk of BoM changes

Risk Management

  • Assess and mitigate future sourcing risks by staying informed about market changes, supplier stability, and potential disruptions
  • Develop contingency plans to ensure continuous supply of critical components
  • Notify R&D teams of component lifecycle changes like Last-time-Buy to enable decision-making about possible product redesigns

Requirements
Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on electronics and component sourcing
  • Proven track record in supplier management and commercial negotiations
  • The candidate is preferred to have experience within project management and/or procurement
  • Excellent communication (English required – Danish preferred)

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong understanding of electronic components and the electronics industry
  • Good knowledge of ERP systems and Excel
  • Good understanding of common ECO processes
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities and ability to analyze and interpret technical and commercial information
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, especially R&D and development teams
  • As a person, you are welcoming, flexible, honest and structured

The successful candidate will play a vital part in bridging the gap between technical requirements and commercial strategies, ensuring the company's procurement activities support its overall objectives.

The Role will report to the Head of Supply Chain.
