Senior Project Manager

JOB SUMMARY
AGC Biologics is looking for a Global IT Senior Project Manager at our Copenhagen, Denmark location. The ideal candidate must have IT Project Management background experience, the ability to facilitate the successful delivery of a wide variety of projects within the IT organization, great interpersonal skills, a can-do attitude, the ability to work independently, and superior customer service.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage all aspects of IT application implementation-related projects
• Lead project teams and/or work-streams
• Utilize sound project management and SDLC methodologies
• Ability to work in a matrix-managed environment where many resources are embedded part-time on a particular team
• Develop and manage project intake process and resource capacity planning
• Escalate issues early and provide concise issue descriptions to upper-level management coupled with recommended paths for resolution
• Executive presence and good presentation skills
• Liaison between internal customer, IT, and external contracted resources and/or firms
• Vendor management including selection and vendor contracting/negotiation

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• BA/BS in Business Administration and/or Computer Science. Relevant experience may be substituted for education.
• Experience: 5+ years of direct medium to large-scale systems project management experience
• Experience managing projects for business process improvement, establishing, and implementing best practices
• Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum, Waterfall and SDLC
• Ability to be a positive change agent and juggle competing priorities
• Ability to adapt to changing business needs and assignments as required
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
• Dependable and solid follow-up with a good ‘customer service’ attitude
• Ability to be firm about deadlines
• A strong bias for action and a passionate customer focus
• Past experience as an independent consultant is a plus
• Healthcare, pharma, life sciences, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) experience preferred
• Ability to work hours necessary to support delivery schedules

Certificates/Licenses/Registrations:

• PMP Project Management Professional certification preferred or willingness to seek certification.

Management Responsibilities

• Potential mentorship responsibility for IT staff as well as peers
• Responsible for indirect oversight of project team staff when assigned as project team leader
