Our COP Engineering team is looking for a Wind Turbine Package Manager in Korea. This is a new role and an exciting opportunity to be responsible for delivering a Wind Turbine Package in a new market. The package includes specification, procurement, manufacturing, assembly, installation and commissioning, as well as working in a team that is leading the charge to create a healthier planet. This position will report to either a Technical Development Director or an EPC Director, depending on the maturity of the projects being developed in Korea.

The scope of the package includes offshore wind turbine generators, and the responsibility will run through the project development- and execution phases. You will interface with each package within the EPC- and our internal development team , as well as external and suppliers, consultants and authorities. The role will be based in Seoul and overseas candidates must be prepared to expatriate.

You will support initiatives including:

  • Identification of requirements and definition of scope of works
  • Roadmap to secure timely certified design, manufacturing, installation and commissioing
  • Mobilization and leadership of team and resources
  • Drive procurement and ensure timely contracting of wind turbine packages
  • Identify and manage interfaces to other packages
  • Manage internal- and external engineering and design works
  • Ensure compliance with applicable standards and certification requirements
  • Coordinate and provide support to other functions and packages, e.g. Permitting, Due diligence, and LTA Q/A, and O&M preparation.
  • Lead and prepare documentation required for the relevant project stages, decisions and assessments
  • Ensure a strong focus and best in class management of health safety and quality for all involved

To succeed in this role, you have:

  • An Engineering degree or similar level education and 10 years of industry experience
  • Demonstrated project management experience from executing management of a large offshore wind turbine package and preferably PMP(PMI) qualified
  • Strong technical understanding of the scope and associated supply chain
  • Strong commercial understanding and contract management/negotiation skills
  • Leadership skills with ability to communicate efficiently and effectively
  • Able to thrive and develop in an international- and multi-cultural environment.
