We’re seeking a Software Engineer proficient in PowerBuilder, with hands-on experience in ERP and the manufacturing domain. As a valuable team player, you’ll contribute positively to our dynamic environment, finding motivation in maintenance and bug-fixing tasks while actively participating in implementing new features. You possess a deep understanding of supply chain management and excel in translating this knowledge into optimal solutions. Continuously evolving and experimenting with new technologies is second nature to you, ensuring our business stays at the forefront of innovation.

You’ll be based in our Budapest, Hungary office or Madrid, Spain office, collaborating closely with colleagues in Budapest, Aarhus, and Frankfurt.

What does a Software Engineer do at Boyum IT?
Joining our Manufacturing development team responsible for our Beas Manufacturing solution for SAP Business One, you’ll contribute to delivering and enhancing our solution, working across the technology stack primarily in PowerBuilder, JavaScript, and MS SQL. Your enthusiasm for maintenance and bug fixing will be crucial as you ensure the smooth operation of our solution. Moreover, you’ll actively participate in implementing new features and constantly evaluate how new technologies can be leveraged, including establishing our presence in the cloud.

Close collaboration with our Support team and the product manager will be essential to ensure alignment with customer needs and product vision.

Is this a good match for you? Here is what we are looking for:

• A degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields is essential.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional software development experience, preferably in a manufacturing domain.
• Proficiency in Appeon PowerBuilder
• Experience with .NET development in C# and MSQL
• Ability and desire to work in an agile team environment, collaborating closely with colleagues.
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts.
• Strong team player with exceptional collaboration skills, fostering a positive team dynamic.
• Deep understanding of the business problems the software is solving, ensuring alignment with customer needs and product vision.
• Experience with SAP Business One, Microsoft Business Central, or other ERP systems (Optional, but a plus).
• Knowledge in the supply chain management domain (Optional, but a plus).
• Knowledge of Web development such as HTML, Vanilla JS, and CSS (Optional, but a plus).
• Knowledge in SnapDevelop (Optional, but a plus).
