About the Role
DFDS is embarking on an exciting digital transformation with the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 across Finance and Procurement. Replacing the current ERP solution with D365F&O in over 20 markets and 60 entities is a key part of our ambition towards becoming a greener and more digitized operator. To achieve our goal, we need the expertise of a Cloud Engineer to lead across the team in technical aspects to provide feature amendments for our ERP solution.

We are a diverse team working out of different geographical locations. Further, we collaborate with the use of agile practices and tightly in cadence with our Azure DevOps for handling our backlog.

What kind of exciting challenges can you expect to meet in this role?
As our Lead Cloud Engineer, you will play an important role in collaborating with the team as well as across DFDS, in ensuring relevant solutions are implemented. In general, you will have a broad stakeholder group across all levels, from business to technology owners, on a large enterprise scale, as well as external partners.

As a Lead Cloud Engineer, you will:

  • Provide technical leadership and set quality standards for our development flow.
  • Leverage cloud services and be the subject matter expert in driving innovation in our team.
  • Drive, clarify, and challenge requirements with our stakeholders to find sustainable solutions.
  • Design and optimize solutions through redesigning and refactoring with a focus on market best practices, cost efficiency, and scalability, to adhere to our system architecture.
  • Outline procedures and governance models for effective development and collaboration.
  • Mentor and guide team members to improve knowledge base and promote best practice methods while keeping relevant with market.

About You

Your qualifications:

  • Min. 3 years experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role, with proven expertise in Azure Cloud Platform.
  • Experience in network infrastructure, hybrid cloud setup, and cloud computing best practices and services.
  • Experience with Power Platform , Dataverse, and JavaScript.
  • Solid experience with Azure (IPaaS) components like Storage Accounts, Service Bus, Logic Apps, Keyvault, Azure Functions, integration account etc.
  • Knowledge on DevOps methodologies, tools, and practices, including CI/CD pipelines and automation, and horizontal scaling.
  • Good understanding of cloud-based security risks in a technical setup as well as compliance.

Additional qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Fluency in English, written and oral.
  • Strong teamwork and independent working skills.
  • Excellent prioritization and stakeholder communication skills.
